✨ Celebrate the creativity and brilliance of q***r and trans youth at Q***r, Trans, & Talented! This one-night showcase will feature artwork, live performances, and interactive activities that bring our community together in color, joy, and pride.

What to expect:
• Over 20 youth artists exhibiting their work
• Art for sale – take home something special
• Performances including singing, monologues, and lip sync
• Prizes for the most colorful outfit
• Concessions & refreshments (non-alcoholic)

💵💵💵 Bring cash to tip performers and purchase art directly from youth artists!

Applications for youth artists are open until July 30. Please apply if you'd like to participate!

It's Pride Month 🏳️‍🌈

At Mississippi Market Co-op, we support and celebrate everyone's unique identities, perspectives, and abilities - we believe it makes our co-op community stronger.

This Pride Month, we encourage you to round up at the register to support RECLAIM, providing accessible mental health support for q***r and trans youth.

RECLAIM invites q***r & trans artists 12-25 to apply to participate in The QT Art Auction on the evening of Saturday, June 20.

The QT Art Auction is an opportunity for young q***r and trans artists to sell their artwork at Orchestra Hall before the MN Orchestra’s Pride concert. Selected artists will be paid a stipend ($50-100), receive all proceeds of their art sales, and receive two tickets to watch the concert.

The priority deadline for our application is Tuesday, June 2, 10:00 a.m.

Come hang out with us this summer! Q***r and trans young adults 18-25 are invited to join us for our weekly social group, Reclaiming Connection!

Meetup dates: Tuesdays from 2-4 PM on June 2, 9, 16, & 23.

Join us for games, creative expression, group discussions, and more. This is an affirming space to meet with other q***r and trans folx to build community and connection. We welcome all of who you are and are excited to see you! No cost to participate. Facilitated by Tania Soto.

Our friends at Faith United Methodist Church (St. Anthony) are organizing the annual spring flower & plant sale to benefit RECLAIM. Orders and payments are due by Sunday, April 12 with pick-up on Saturday, May 9. All proceeds go to RECLAIM.

Today, March 31, is International Transgender Day of Visibility (TDOV). RECLAIM is encouraging everyone to take these actions to act in solidarity with transgender people at a time it is needed more than ever.

Your TDOV Checklist:
1. Check in with a trans person in your life. Ask them how they're doing, what they need, and how you can help. Listen to their concerns, and keep doing it.

2. Donate to RECLAIM to support financially accessible mental health care for q***r and trans youth.

3. Volunteer with an organization serving the trans community, such as RECLAIM.

4. Email and call your state and federal representatives and insist they protect the rights and dignity of transgender people and support full participation in public life. If your representatives vote and speak in support of the trans community, thank them! Find your representatives.

5. Share a message of affirmation and support on social media in support of the trans community. Elevate the voices and perspective of trans folks, even if it challenges and makes you uncomfortable.
