As we move forward into the fall we begin to want to do more things outside in the crisp fall air. Walking along trails, enjoying cooler weather, a myriad of events that happen before Halloween, and then we transition into the holiday shopping season, as well as seeing the holiday events we have come to enjoy.
During these times it is easy to become complacent in regard to the area around us, but this is a time when people are most often victimized.

Being situationally aware can help to not only keep you safe but also the people around you. Criminals tend to not want to be in an area where it is clear someone is paying attention to them, causing them to leave.

Korstog Training offers an online Situational Awareness class that you can take from the comfort of your home or anywhere that has a connection to the internet.

This is the ruling I referenced at After the permit to carry this part week.

This is 2 years old and as I said this ruling re-enforces the idea that you need to try and retreat even before the situation escalates.

Minnesota Gun Owners Caucus has been working on this for quite sometime, please consider supporting them, it is not out of the realm of possibility that this could effect something like pepper spray or even just holding your keys in your hand.

This Thursday at 6:00 P.M.

After the Permit To Carry - Level 1.
This is a four hour class that will cover skills not normally seen in a standard permit to carry.

A deeper dive into situational awareness
Bleeding Control and trauma management
Shooting stances
Drawing from the holster
Updates on laws

This is a four hour class where we will go over legal updates, options for carrying, we will do some scenarios, and have discussions on video scenarios.
Students are encouraged to bring their carry firearm and their holster, there is not a live fire portion and no ammunition is allowed.

Totally Re-Vamped After the Permit to Carry Class.

Multiple dates available,
time is 6P - 10P

The goal of this 4 hour class is to help the student to better understand their roles and responsibilities as a lawfully armed American.

Students are encourage to bring their fi****ms and holsters, there is no live fire with this class and all fi****ms will be checked prior to admittance to the class.

*This class is open to anyone who wishes to receive more education on defensive fi****ms use

BCA just launched their new website for approved fi****ms instructors in Minnesota
It is important to research your instructor and make sure they are on this page, it means they provide classes that meet or exceed the state guidlines.
Korstog Training is listed on there. as are several others you may have takena class through. I am sharign this because the days of "My buddy can teach the class and give you a certificate" have come to a close.
