One treatment is good. The right combination of treatments is transformative. Here's what we pair at My Skin — and why each combination works. ✨

Botox + Fillers — the classic duo

Botox relaxes the muscles that create expression lines. Fillers restore volume and structure that diminishes with age. They treat completely different problems — which is exactly why they work so well together. Botox smooths the canvas. Fillers restore the frame.

Best for: forehead lines + cheek or lip volume, 11s + jawline definition, crow's feet + under-eye hollowing.

Botox + Microneedling — the skin quality upgrade

Botox addresses lines caused by muscle movement. Microneedling rebuilds the skin's quality from within — improving texture, pore size, collagen production, and overall radiance. For patients who want their skin to look genuinely healthy — not just treated — this combination delivers.

Best for: anyone getting Botox who still feels their skin looks tired, dull, or textured. The two treatments work on completely different levels and compound each other's results.

At My Skin, Leah Michel, APRN, FNP-BC builds every treatment plan around your face specifically — your anatomy, your goals, and what your skin actually needs. Never a template. Always intentional.

Choosing your injector based on skill — not the lowest price — will always be in style. ✨

Your face is not the place to find a deal.

We understand that pricing matters. But when it comes to injectables, the cost of choosing the wrong provider almost always exceeds the cost of choosing the right one — in touch-ups, corrections, and results that don't look like you.

What you're actually paying for when you choose a skilled injector:

✦ An understanding of facial anatomy — knowing not just where to inject, but where not to
✦ An eye for balance and proportion — results that enhance your natural features
✦ The clinical judgment to know when less is more
✦ A provider relationship built on trust, not a transaction
✦ Results you're proud to walk out with — not ones you need to hide

At My Skin, Leah Michel, APRN, FNP-BC brings over 9 years of dermatology experience to every treatment. She doesn't rush. She doesn't template. She takes your face seriously — because it deserves to be.

Skill is the investment that shows. 🤍

Just got Botox and wondering when you'll actually see something? Here's the honest timeline — and why patience is part of the process. ✨

Anti Wrinkle Injections — including Botox, Jeuveau, and Dysport — don't work overnight. They work by blocking the nerve signals that cause muscle movement, and that process takes time.

Here's what to expect:

Day 1–3 — Nothing yet. This is completely normal. The neurotoxin is beginning to bind to nerve receptors but movement is largely unchanged.

Day 3–5 — You may start to notice the first subtle changes. Some patients see early softening of movement in treated areas. Others see nothing yet — both are normal.

Day 5–7 — This is when most patients notice visible results beginning. Movement in treated muscles becomes noticeably reduced.

Day 10–14 — Full results. This is your true outcome. If something feels uneven or not quite right at this point, this is when to come back in for a review.

Week 3–4 onwards — Results are fully settled and at their peak. Longevity varies by patient — typically 3 months depending on metabolism, muscle strength, and treatment area.

One important note: don't judge your results before day 10. Checking the mirror on day 2 will only stress you out unnecessarily. 😊

At My Skin, we always follow up after your first treatment to make sure you're happy with your results. That's part of the care we provide. ✨

What is that painful bump on your skin? That's likely a skin abscess. Some people call it a boil. Here's what it actually is and what you should do about it. 💜

A skin abscess is a pocket of pus that forms beneath the skin when bacteria enter through a hair follicle, a small wound, or a break in the skin. Your immune system sends white blood cells to fight the infection — and the result is that painful, warm, tender lump that seems to grow by the day.

What it looks like:
→ A firm, raised lump — often red, warm, and tender to the touch
→ Gradually fills with pus and may develop a visible white or yellow head
→ Can appear anywhere on the body — most commonly the face, neck, armpits, thighs, and buttocks
→ May cause surrounding skin to feel tight or swollen
→ Can be accompanied by fever if the infection is spreading

When to come see us:
An abscess that is large, rapidly growing, located on your face or spine, not improving after a few days, or causing fever needs professional treatment. We can drain it safely in-office and prescribe antibiotics if needed.

Your skin deserves professional care — not a YouTube tutorial. 🤍

"Stop doing weird things on social media or no one will ever take you seriously."

Too late. We already did it. All of it. No regrets. 😅

In our defense — we spend our days doing skin cancer screenings, Botox injections, BHRT consultations, and Medical Weightloss treatments. We are very serious professionals.

And then we go on Instagram.

We like to think it balances out. 🤣

Come for the professionalism. Stay for whatever this is. 🤍

Does cellulitis go away on its own? The short answer is no. Here's what you actually need to know — and why waiting it out is never the right call.

Cellulitis is a bacterial skin infection that affects the deeper layers of the skin and the tissue beneath it. Unlike a surface-level rash or minor irritation, cellulitis requires antibiotic treatment — it does not resolve without it.

What cellulitis looks like:
→ Red, swollen, warm skin that spreads — often on the lower legs
→ The affected area feels tender or painful to touch
→ Skin may look tight, glossy, or dimpled
→ Can be accompanied by fever, chills, or fatigue
→ Red streaks extending from the area are a sign the infection is spreading — seek care immediately

Why it doesn't go away on its own:
Cellulitis is caused by bacteria — most commonly Streptococcus or Staphylococcus — that have entered through a break in the skin. Without antibiotics, the infection will continue to spread. In some cases it can reach the lymph nodes or bloodstream, which becomes a medical emergency.

What to do:
If you suspect cellulitis, come in as soon as possible. We can confirm the diagnosis, prescribe the appropriate antibiotic, and monitor your progress. Most cases respond well to treatment when caught early.

Don't wait for it to get worse. It will.
