Established in 1895 as the Ellis Graveyard, Sunnyside Cemetery is one of St. Sunnyside Cemetery is a cemetery in St. Petersburg.

Petersburg’s oldest and most scenic final resting places. Originally a private family plot, it opened to the public in 1905. Petersburg, Florida, operated in association with Anderson McQueen Funeral Homes. Established in 1895 as the Ellis Graveyard and opened to the public in 1905, it is one of the three oldest cemeteries in St. Services include burial, funeral and memorial services, pre-need pla

nning, and veterans services including military honors. Cemetery features include a cremation garden and niches, private and family lots, build-to-suit property, and custom headstones. No on-site crematory or chapel.

During this time, seasonal decor and items that do not meet cemetery guidelines will be respectfully cleared from gravesites. If there are personal items you wish to keep, we kindly ask that they be collected before this date. As a reminder, we will be conducting our annual grounds refresh beginning January 30, 2026.
