Atlas Chiropractic Center, St. Petersburg, Fl We are passionate about helping people feel better and achieve their goals. Join us in the journey I'm welcoming people back to LIFE.

Hi, I am Dr Johanna Turner, and I am a Chiropractor in Clearwater Florida off Ulmerton rd. I focus on making a persons overall spinal structure strong and stable so they can handle their day in and out stresses without symptom flare ups. I do this through specific chiropractic adjustments and rehabilitation exercises. My mission is to help re-educate people on what true health and wellness is, and

also how to achieve optimal health and maintain it over time. I volunteer my time to the community providing educational talks on an array of topics. If you know a loved one or friend who is interested in better health (less headaches, better digestion, more energy, less allergies, less stress, and over all better feeling, etc) I would love to see what I can do to help. Let me help you remember what its like to enjoy your lifestyle.

Picture this: it’s 4pm, your jaw has been clenched since your first meeting, your shoulders are somewhere up by your ears, and your face feels stuffy even though you don’t have a cold.

You’ve probably treated these like five separate issues — a mouthguard here, a massage there, a decongestant that doesn’t really work.
But they all trace back to the same place: your upper neck and jaw joint. When that’s out of position, it doesn’t affect just one thing. It shows up everywhere at once — your jaw, your neck, your shoulders, even your sinuses.

One structural issue. Five different symptoms. One fix.

That newborn reflux battle is real. 🩵
If you’ve been up all night watching your baby arch, gag, and struggle after every feed, you already know something’s off. You’ve tried the elimination diet, the wedge pillow, the reflux meds. Still not sleeping.
Reflux isn’t always a stomach problem. It often starts with the nervous system, birth (even a “normal” delivery) and oral ties can put pressure on the nerves that control digestion. Tongue ties, lip ties and cheek ties all can increase reflux, and increase pressure on the nervous system. Release that pressure, and the body does what it’s designed to do.
This is a gentle, newborn-specific adjustment in our St. Pete office. No twisting, no cracking, just precise, light pressure to get your baby’s nervous system and gut talking to each other again.
You did the research. You brought them in. Now watch them finally get relief. ✨

You’ve probably chalked it up to “that’s just what happens after kids.“

You told yourself the fatigue was normal. The back pain was normal. Bracing every time you
pick up your toddler was normal.

It’s not.

Here’s what nobody tells you: pregnancy doesn’t just change your body for nine months, it shifts
your entire structure. Your pelvis moves. Your spine compensates. And unless something
actually corrects that shift, your body keeps compensating for it long after your kid stops needing to be carried.

That’s not weakness. That’s not “just getting older.
“ That’s an uncorrected structural shift
running the show, quietly draining the energy you need for the people who need you most.

Swipe through to see exactly what’s going on and what actually fixes it.

If this is you, comment FOUNDATION and I’ll send you the link to book your postural assessment!

Your jaw pain might not actually be a jaw problem.

Had a patient who’d been dealing with jaw locking, tension, and pain for months. She was already scheduled for Botox injections in her suboccipitals to manage it.

Before going that route, she decided to try structural care first.

Here’s what most people don’t know: the top two bones in your neck (C1 and C2) are directly linked to jaw mobility. This isn’t a theory, and this isn’t my opinion, it’s backed by research from the dental field itself. If those joints aren’t moving properly, your jaw pays for it. Clenching, popping, grinding, restriction all downstream of a structural imbalance up top.

So instead of just treating the jaw, we treated the muscles supporting it and checked the alignment of the neck driving the pattern. Gentle trigger point work, an instrument-adjusted jaw, and X-rays to see what was actually going on structurally.

We talk a lot about pain relief, but adjustments are doing so much more behind the scenes than most people realize. Your body is capable of some pretty incredible things when it's given the chance to function the way it was designed to.

📌This is the part of chiropractic care we wish more people knew about. It's not just about cracking a stiff back, it's about giving your nervous system the input it needs to actually regulate and heal.

Curious what's really happening during your adjustments? Swipe through, and drop a 🙋‍♀️ if you've felt that post-adjustment shift before.
