Local Adaptive Swim Programs...

YMCA of the Suncoast: Partnering with the Juvenile Welfare Board of Pinellas County, local YMCAs offer specialized adaptive swim lessons for neurodivergent children. Certified instructors use therapy-based techniques across five-session blocks focused on foundational survival and self-rescue skills. Check details or locations via YMCA of the Suncoast.

Sunsational Swim School: Provides private, one-on-one, at-home special needs swim lessons throughout Pinellas County (including Pinellas Park and St. Petersburg). Instructors customize lessons for children with ADHD and sensory challenges directly in your home pool. You can book or learn more at Sunsational Swim

What is Special Services, you ask, and what do they do?!

Special Services is a JWB funded early intervention program housed at R’Club that works with childcare providers and parents as a team to address children who are experiencing...

- behavioral challenges in the classroom and at home
- suspected developmental disabilities or delays
- challenges due to prenatal exposure to drugs or alcohol.

Who is eligible to receive services?

👦 Children ages birth to 5

🏫 Children who attend a Childcare Center or Family Childcare Home in Pinellas County

🏠 Children who live in Pinellas County

🤗 Children who have behavioral, social emotional or developmental concerns

Special Services is comprised of three components to help your child be successful…

⭐️ Project Challenge - (Challenging Behavior)

⭐️ Child Care Outreach - (Developmental Concerns)

⭐️ New Beginnings - (Prenatal drugs or alcohol exposure).


Each program is tailored to assist the parents, guardians, and teachers in addressing the child’s needs as a team!!
