People ask what actually happens on our free 15-minute calls, like there's a catch.

Here's the honest version.

You tell us what you've been noticing, the things weighing heavy on your mind.

The pointing instead of talking.
The meltdowns that don't match the moment.
The food battles.
The "is this normal?" you've Googled more times than you'll admit.

We listen, you ask a few questions, then we tell you what we actually think (even if it doesn't involve seeing us for therapy!)

Sometimes that's, "this sounds within the range of normal, here's what I'd watch for."

Sometimes it's, "yes, a closer look would help, and here's why."

Either way, you hang up with less guessing than you started with.

The goal our of our free calls was never to sell you something. It was to take one heavy question off your plate.

You know your child better than anyone else.

You see the small moments, the patterns, the things that don’t always show up in short conversations or quick check-ins.

And sometimes, even when others aren’t concerned, you still feel like something is worth paying attention to.

Most of the families we work with didn’t start with certainty—they started with that same feeling. Not urgent, not dramatic… just a quiet sense that something didn’t feel quite right.

At Madden Therapy Solutions, we’ve spent years helping parents sort through those early questions and figure out what’s typical, what might need support, and what steps actually make sense.

If you’re not sure what to do yet, it can help to start by noticing patterns—when something happens, how often, and what seems to make it easier or harder.

That kind of clarity tends to make the next step feel a lot more manageable.

📞 If you’ve been sitting with that feeling, our free 15-minute calls are a place to talk it through and get a clearer sense of what to do next. https://maddentherapysolutions.com/consultation/

You're at the playground watching your toddler run toward the slide, and suddenly they trip. Again.

You tell yourself it's probably nothing. Maybe they're just clumsy.

Maybe they're still growing into their body.

But after the fifth or sixth fall this week, the questions start sneaking in:

Why does my toddler fall so much?
Should I worry?
Is this normal or is something else going on?

If you've been asking or wondering, that instinct is worth paying attention to.

Some falling is completely normal toddler stuff. But sometimes it's a sign your child could use extra support with balance, coordination, or strength.

We break down the difference in our newest blog My Toddler Falls a Lot: Should I Be Worried?

Have you ever found yourself translating for your child in conversation, filling in the gaps so other people understand what they’re trying to say?

It can be easy to brush it off at first. Maybe they’re just taking their time, or maybe others just aren’t used to how they talk. But over time, those moments can start to stand out a little more.

At Madden Therapy Solutions, we’ve spent over 8 years helping families navigate this exact stage—when a child has words, but communication still feels harder than it should.

Sometimes it’s less about how many words they have, and more about how clearly they’re able to express themselves and be understood.

One simple place to start is by modeling language back to them in a clear, calm way—repeating what they said without correcting or pressuring. That kind of exposure can help build clarity over time without adding frustration.

As communication becomes easier, you often start to see more confidence—not just in how they speak, but in how they interact overall.

📞 If this has been on your mind, we offer free 15-minute calls to talk through what you’re noticing and help you figure out what next steps might look like. Schedule your call here: https://maddentherapysolutions.com/consultation/

Have you ever watched other kids talking and quietly wondered if your child should be saying more by now?

It’s not always obvious. Maybe they point instead of using words, or use a few words but aren’t combining them yet. And even when others say “they’ll catch up,” that question tends to stick.

At Madden Therapy Solutions, we’ve spent years helping families figure out when to wait—and when support can actually help.

Here’s what we suggest trying:
Start paying closer attention to how your child is communicating throughout the day.

→ Are they using words, gestures, or both?
→ Are they getting frustrated trying to express themselves?
→ Are they combining words yet?

When you start seeing those patterns more clearly, it becomes much easier to decide what your child actually needs—without second guessing yourself.

And that clarity often leads to earlier support, which can mean faster progress and less frustration for your child.

If this has been on your mind, we break it down clearly in our blog post: https://maddentherapysolutions.com/blog/how-to-help-my-toddler-talk/

Nothing makes us happier than hearing this!

When parents tell us their child's reading clicked, and that they're actually enjoying it now, it reminds us why we built the Foundations of Reading Summer Camp the way we did.
Small groups. Real connection. Skills broken down in a way that finally makes sense to little learners.

Because here's the thing about summer: For kids still building early reading skills, a few unstructured months can quietly undo a lot of momentum. We created this camp to keep that progress going, without it feeling like more school.

If your child is in that "in-between" space, trying, but still struggling with letters, sounds, or confidence, this might be exactly the kind of support that helps it click.

We only have 2 spots left, schedule an informational call for more information now: https://links.eschub.com/widget/bookings/summercamp-15

You might notice your child getting frustrated when they try to communicate, melting down, shutting down, or giving up altogether.

And it’s hard, because you can tell they want to express themselves… it’s just not coming out the way they need it to.

At Madden Therapy Solutions, we see this often, and it’s usually a sign that communication feels harder than it should.

Here’s what we suggest trying:
Slow the moment down when your child is trying to communicate.

→ wait a few extra seconds before jumping in
→ model a simple word or short phrase
→ keep your tone calm and low-pressure

Giving your child more space and support often leads to more attempts to communicate—and less frustration when they can’t get their message across right away.

Over time, that can look like fewer meltdowns and more confidence using words.

There are so many reasons we love what we do—but it always comes back to the kids and the families we get to work with every day.

Every child brings something different into the room. And being part of that growth, those small wins, and those big moments… it never gets old.
