Elizabeth’s journey at EBH has been such an inspiring story of continuous growth. She started with us as a QT, advanced into leadership as an OSS, and now officially holds the BCBA title! Seeing someone grow through so many corners of our clinic while pouring genuine passion and warmth into our learners and team is truly what it’s all about.

We know the grit, endless study sessions, and heart it took to conquer this milestone, and we are so thrilled to celebrate this huge win with you. Elizabeth, the BCBA world just got so much brighter! 🌟👏

Happy Halloween from all of us at Empower Behavioral Health! We hope everyone has a fun, spooky, and safe weekend! 🎃👻

Halloween brings plenty of excitement, but the costumes, crowds, and change in routine can sometimes feel overwhelming. Here are a few quick tips to help keep the night fun and low stress for the whole family:

🎃 Prioritize comfort: Itchy fabrics or tight masks? Themed pajamas, a graphic tee, or everyday clothes with a fun hat count 100%.
🎃 Practice the routine: Do a quick daytime run-through of walking up to a familiar door, ringing the bell, and holding out a bucket.
🎃 All communication counts: Tapping an AAC device, using a visual card, or simply holding out a bucket with a smile are all fantastic ways to participate.
🎃 Set clear expectations: Walk a short, predictable route or agree on visiting 3 to 5 houses ahead of time so the end of the activity isn't abrupt.
🎃 Follow their lead: Two houses or handing out candy from your own porch is just as much of a win as walking the whole block. Calling it an early night is always okay!

Nothing beats seeing our learners share their clinic world with their families! Our McAllen North crew had an incredible time hosting Pumpkins with Parents, filling the afternoon with laughter, colorful crafts, and hands on teamwork.

In ABA therapy, involving families in seasonal events helps bridge clinic routines with real life connection. Working on a pumpkin together gives our learners the chance to practice patience, cooperative play, and tactile tolerance at their own pace. Plus, seeing the pride on our kiddos’ faces when they show their parents what they can do is truly the best part of our week.

Thank you so much to all the families who joined us to paint, decorate, and celebrate the season together!
