September is World Alzheimer's Month, and this year's theme centers on something we see the value of every day: the power of an early diagnosis.

When Alzheimer's and other dementias are identified early, families gain time. Time to understand what is happening, time to plan care on their own terms, time to explore treatment options, and time to consider participation in clinical research. The 2026 World Alzheimer Report recognizes clinical trial access as an essential part of dementia care, and that recognition matters. Research participation is not a last resort. It is one of the doors that an early diagnosis can open.

A great evening of education, collaboration, and connection in San Antonio!

Last week, Summit Clinical Research and Pinnacle Clinical Research – A Summit Solution brought together local healthcare providers and industry partners for Emerging Therapies & Practical Management in MASH & Primary Biliary Cholangitis — an educational dinner focused on turning the latest advances in MASH and PBC into real-world clinical practice.

A huge thank you to our expert speakers, Dr. Naim Alkhouri, Dr. Winston Dunn, and Ana Diaz, PA-C, who shared their perspectives on evolving approaches to MASLD/MASH and PBC, key clinical updates, and emerging therapies and clinical trials. The evening wrapped up with a lively discussion and Q&A that connected the newest science with the day-to-day realities of patient care.

We were so glad to welcome healthcare professionals from across the San Antonio community, including Gastroenterology Consultants of San Antonio, GI Alliance, Advanced Internal Medicine Group, Baptist Health System, MedFirst, San Antonio Premier, Texas Digestive Disease Consultants, UT Health San Antonio, WellMed, and many other local practices.

Evenings like this are what it's all about — strengthening relationships with our referring providers, trading practical clinical insights, and building bridges between research, education, and patient care.
