Day 14 on and honestly it hasn't been that bad. A little constipation (I think from one of the premeds) and some fatigue but no nausea (oh thank goodness) and no diarrhea like they threatened (seriously gave me 5 meds for it). The hair is coming out in chunks today, will probably be gone by Thursday.
But I will trade hair for LUNGS and time any day. My breathing is SO much better, the cough is just about gone, and I don't have the fear of the end surrounding me. (Huge thank you to my support team and sorry if I scared you from the ER!) I'm just so beyond grateful and if you have working lungs and can move your body, PLEASE go do that. Then thank your beautiful body for being so incredible and functioning and getting you places easily and painlessly 🙏
The main issue has been emotional - like ALL of the emotions all the time. Sadness, grief, anger, trouble concentrating, reliving trauma, frustration... not me at all. And I don't like it. These guys are seriously hindering my hunt for JOY and living the happy life. So I'm going to get outside more, maybe go back on Prozac for a few days, and say yes to more activities now that I can almost make it up my stairs without stopping again 🙌
Overall it's been pretty good thanks to my supplement plan and nutrition. I think some people have a rough time with trodelvy and dairy (from what I read - I don't eat dairy) and also with lots of carbs. You really need FIBER and to support your body with fruits and vegetables through this medicine. Treating yourself with sugary food isn't always the best option with chemotherapy unfortunately. Treat yourself to concert tickets instead!
Starting my new classes today too vvrroooommm,
