Le Tusa, Inc. We develop new services and increase accessibility to specialized services. We strive to accomplish our mission through the implementation of diverse services.

Le Tusa, Inc., seeks to evolve the services for individuals with developmental and intellectual disabilities, including individuals with co-occuring mental health conditions. Currently, these services include:
- Specialized therapeutic services
- Telehealth services: parent/caregiver counsel, coaching & individual
psychotherapy & agency trainings
- Individualized trainings and education
- Consultation with residential and day service providers
- Public policy advocacy efforts
- Program development and design

Le Tusa, Inc. is working to develop new services that include:
- Social skill acquisition classes
- Social-sexual education classes
- Psycho-education services
- Peer empowerment services
- Clinical Training Program

In this panel, Andrew, Teali, and Katie sit down and discuss their personal journeys towards their current living situation. The panelists discuss the challenges of previous living arrangements, working with independent housing programs, their support staff, and getting along with housemates.

Our panelists show us that housing is a long transition that requires a lot of patience and self-advocacy.

Social clubs are a great way to make new friends, try out new hobbies, and visit new places! In social clubs, members often share the same hobby, local responsibilities, and continue to attend meetings. The Bay Area has many community-centered social clubs for neurodiverse individuals. In this panel, Sara, Jasmine, Garrett, and JJ talk about the social clubs they are a part of, how they joined, and how often they meet. Some of the social clubs that were talked about are:

1. Le Tusa's Join In: A monthly online community
2. Shupin Social Club: A Jewish activity social club
3. Special Olympics: An organization devoted to sports and health
4. Best Buddies: Inclusive social mentoring & friendships organization

Teali may have been through a lot, but she has found the tools to use her voice. In her Symposium presentation, “More Than Just A Label,” she discusses the labels her loved ones have placed on her and how they have affected her identity.

Some of the highlights she includes about her life include:

1. How therapy helped her grow emotionally.
2. Breaking out of stereotypical labels and becoming herself.
3. Her job as an advocacy trainer and how she helps people be their own advocates.
4. Her hobbies, which include going to the gym and art.

During the Symposium, Sharon and Vernae did a presentation together called "You've Got a Friend in Me!" where they shared the story of how they became best friends and tips for friendship. They also shared really good advice on how to meet new friends:

1. Ask them about their likes and dislikes.
2. Ask them about their life.
3. Invite them to do something fun.
4. Find out what you have in common
5. Throw a dance party!

1. Slow progress is meaningful.

2. Make good use of your strengths with creativity.

3. Move on your own terms with confidence, especially with the help of yoga.

4. It takes a village of support systems to grow and find joy.
