☕️ Coffee & Clarity ☕️ // 2026: Episode 9 - What CAN I do?? ✨

Recovery has taught me a lot over the last 12 weeks, but one of the biggest lessons has nothing to do with surgery..🙆🏼‍♀️

When life doesn’t look the way we expected, it’s easy to focus on everything we can’t do yet…

Lately, I’ve been trying to shift the question from “What can’t I do?” to “What CAN I do today?”

Small steps still count. Rest counts. Showing up differently counts.

Progress doesn’t always mean doing more ‼️

Wherever you are today, meet yourself where your feet are 👣

What’s one thing you CAN do today to take care of yourself?

POV: You’re short on time...but not nutrition // Being short on time doesn’t mean you have to sacrifice feeling good 👌🏻

One of the simplest habits that’s helped me stay consistent is building meals around a few key things:
✨ Protein
✨ Fiber
✨ Color
✨ Flavor

Today’s 5-minute lunch looked like:

🥣 Protein: good culture cottage cheese + Chomps beef stick
🍎 Fiber: Apple, bell pepper & rosemary almonds
🌈 Color: Apple + bell pepper
🌶️ Flavor: A spoonful of Momofuku Goods chili crisp on top of the cottage cheese (trust me on this one 😉)

⏱️ Ready in 5 minutes.

💪 ~32g protein
🌿 ~10g fiber

Simple meals like this are a reminder that healthy eating doesn’t have to be complicated - it just has to work for your life 💪🏻

Save this for your next busy workday, or send it to someone who’s always saying they “don’t have time” to make lunch 💛

Meals That Carried Me Through Recovery 🤍 //

Some days it was a chicken salad.

Some days it was Cheerios.

Some days it was a bunless burger, a snack plate, or tacos with my husband.

Some days it was simply eating what sounded good.

And honestly? That’s exactly what my body needed.

Recovery reminded me that nourishment isn’t about chasing perfection—it’s about meeting yourself where you are.

As a dietitian, I spend a lot of time helping others let go of the pressure to eat “perfectly.” This season challenged me to take my own advice.

I focused on eating enough, prioritizing protein when I could, enjoying colorful foods when they sounded good, and giving myself permission to embrace convenience, comfort, and flexibility.

Looking back at these photos, I don’t just see meals.

I see healing.

I see support.

I see patience.

I see progress.

I also see milestones—like finally feeling well enough to go on a date night with Paul again❤️‍🔥🥂

Maybe the biggest lesson recovery has taught me is this:

The healthiest thing you can do isn’t always eating perfectly. Sometimes it’s trusting yourself enough to meet your body exactly where it is 💪🏻

If you’re in a season where your version of “healthy” looks different than it used to, I hope this reminds you that nourishment can be both flexible and enough 🤍

7 Boss Babe Essentials for Recovery ❤️‍🩹//

Recovery routines (or lack thereof!) often look different than our usual schedules - I know mine has!

I’ve learned to embrace this season by leaning into simple things that help me feel nourished, rested, and a little more like myself - whether that’s a protein-rich snack, a good book, my favorite supplements or a really good cup of coffee!

These are a few of my current recovery essentials that might be something worth exploring or adding to your routine, no matter the season you’re in!

Sometimes the smallest things end up making the biggest difference ✨

Amazon Kindle
YETI
DRMTLGY
GoGo squeeZ
Ritual
Thorne
Trader Joe's

What essentials do you love that I’m missing? I’d love to hear from you! xo G 💖

In honor of Mother’s Day 🤍 // One of my favorite ways to support new parents is by dropping off a nourishing meal a few months after baby arrives 💌

This is when visitors slow down, routines shift, and balanced meals can feel really hard to put together.

This postpartum meal kit included:
✨ salsa verde chicken enchiladas
✨ fresh salsa + high-fiber black bean & corn salad
✨ avocado + mango for freshness and flavor
✨ hydration options (because that piece matters too 👀)
✨ extra protein, toppings, and easy snacks
✨ labeled containers to make everything simple to grab and assemble

The goal isn’t perfection but it’s creating meals that are supportive, balanced, comforting, and require minimal brain power during a season that can feel exhausting.

Food is one of my favorite ways to show love, and this felt especially meaningful on a day celebrating moms 🤍

Simple, nourishing, and Boss Babe approved 💅🏻

Save this for the next time a friend has a baby, or send it to someone who’d appreciate the inspo ✨

☕️Coffee & Clarity // 2026: Episode 8 - Nutrition on an GLP-1??

GLP-1s can be incredibly effective… but here’s what most people don’t realize 👀

These medications can also make it harder to meet your nutrition needs!

Because of reduced appetite, slower digestion, and side effects like nausea or constipation, many people unintentionally end up:

→ eating too little overall
→ falling short on protein
→ not getting enough fiber
→ underhydrating

And over time? That can impact energy, muscle mass, digestion, habit building & overall results👎🏻

✨This is why nutrition matters SO much on a GLP-1.

Instead of just eating less, the goal is to eat more intentionally.

My go-to foundations for patients on GLP-1s:
✔️ Protein first
✔️ Fiber forward
✔️ Hydration consistently
✔️ Small, frequent meals
✔️ Eating routinely (don’t skip meals!)

Think simple, realistic, and sustainable 💚

And don’t forget — tools like protein shakes, smoothies, fiber supplements, and easy-to-digest meals can absolutely help support intake when appetite is low.

Because sometimes…
👉🏻something is better than nothing.

Save this for later & send it to someone navigating GLP-1 nutrition 👀☕️✨

👇🏻What’s been the biggest challenge you’ve seen or experienced on a GLP-1?

Boss Babe Approved Lunch✨🥗// 10 minutes. Zero cooking. Still hitting your protein + fiber goals🥕💪🏻⏱️

This is my go-to when I’m running between patients and need something quick, balanced, and actually satisfying.

And I know I’m not the only one…

If you’ve ever skipped lunch because you “didn’t have time” - this is your sign 👀

My go-to PFC formula:
✨ Protein → to keep you full
✨ Fiber → for steady energy + gut health
✨ Color → because we’re not doing boring meals here

What’s on my plate today:
• Nashville Hot Chicken Stick
• 2 hard-boiled eggs
• Mozzarella string cheese
• original crackers
• BB edamame hummus
• Carrots + cucumber

Simple. Balanced. Actually doable. 🙌🏻👏🏻

Save this for your next busy day & comment “LUNCH” if you want more quick meal ideas!🥰
