HealthRIGHT 360 and Sutter Health are marking one year of bringing medical care directly to people facing barriers to healthcare in San Francisco.

Since seeing its first patient in September 2025, our Mobile and Street Medicine Program has delivered 1,381 medical visits and 467 case management visits, distributed nearly 7,000 basic-needs kits, and reached more than 1,100 additional people through outreach.

With continued support from Sutter Health, we’re building on this work to connect more people with medical care, preventive services, and ongoing support.

Join HealthRIGHT 360’s Evan Hoese, Chief Quality & Analytics Officer, and Ross Young, Co-Founder and CEO of Clinically AI, at the 2026 OPEN MINDS CEO Tech & AI Summit on Wednesday, October 28.

Their session, “From Operational DNA to Organizational Intelligence: Building the Learning Behavioral Health Organization,” will explore how behavioral health providers can connect clinical and operational information, improve organizational learning, and use AI responsibly while keeping expert clinical judgment at the center.

The discussion will draw on HealthRIGHT 360’s implementation experience and examine the steps, infrastructure, and governance needed for AI integration in behavioral health care.

HealthRIGHT 360's Outpatient Program in Los Angeles celebrated its First Annual Plant Ceremony and Graduation, recognizing 15 program completers in attendance for their commitment to recovery, personal growth, and successful community reintegration. The ceremony was especially meaningful as many graduates had served 20 to 30-plus years in prison before returning to society and participating in outpatient treatment and reentry services.

The celebration's theme, “Planting Seeds of Freedom,” symbolized new beginnings, resilience, transformation, and continued growth. Each plant represented the foundation established through treatment, accountability, mentorship, and community support. The mentor-mentee recognition highlighted the relationships between staff and clients and reinforced the importance of continued guidance, encouragement, and connection beyond program completion.

The ceremony celebrated not only treatment completion but also the graduates' determination to rebuild their lives, strengthen family relationships, pursue meaningful opportunities, and become positive contributors to their communities. The ultimate message was that graduation is not the end of the journey, but the beginning of a new chapter—where the seeds planted today can grow into lasting change and inspire future generations.

On Thursday, October 22nd, HealthRIGHT 360’s AARS San Mateo County program hosted a pumpkin carving contest for our Women's Recovery Association and Laurel House clients. The clients got to carve their own pumpkin, enjoy a nacho bar, and participate in a contest for best carved pumpkin!

HealthRIGHT 360 has taken positions on propositions that directly impact the organization, clients, or staff, or on propositions that align with our mission. This election, HealthRIGHT 360 takes positions on 16 measures. Our top priorities are No on Prop 44, Yes on Prop 40 (with No on Props 41 and 42, which would cancel it), and Yes on Prop 3. Direct positions change our funding, regulation, contracts, or facilities, while Mission positions affect what our clients need to stay well, including housing, transit, access to voting, and stable state finances.

Election Day is November 3, 2026. Mail ballots must be postmarked by that day.

At the Whole System Care Conference, HealthRIGHT 360’s Chris Gonzales joined a panel discussion on culturally specific upstream models of care, sharing lessons from our work with youth and families through Asian American Recovery Services (AARS).

For young people, upstream care means creating opportunities for support before a concern becomes a crisis. It also means recognizing that population-specific services need to be grounded in the culture, relationships, and communities of the people they serve. We cannot expect young people and families to adapt to systems that were not designed with their experiences in mind.

That can mean creating space for connection alongside education and behavioral health support. Through AARS, community gatherings bring youth and families together around food, culture, and shared experiences. Our annual Sister-to-Sister Youth Leadership Conference brings hundreds of AAPI youth together for cultural connection, health education, mentorship, and leadership development.

These relationships are part of the work of prevention. They create opportunities to build trust, recognize needs earlier, and connect people to support before they reach a point of crisis.

Thank you to the California Behavioral Health Association and California Hospital Association for convening providers, community organizations, policymakers, and people with lived experience around the work of building a more responsive behavioral health system.

This Friday, HealthRIGHT 360’s Chris Gonzales, Clinical Program Manager, will join behavioral health leaders from across California for a panel on Culturally Specific Upstream Models of Care at the 2026 Whole System Care Conference in Palm Springs.

The panel will focus on approaches that respond to people’s behavioral health needs earlier, within the context of their communities, cultures, and lived experiences. Chris will speak about community defined evidence practices and the youth and family programs offered through HealthRIGHT 360’s Asian American Recovery Services in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties.

Chris will be joined by leaders from Safe Passages, Sacramento Native American Health Center, California Consortium for Urban Indian Health, and Zocalo Health. Thank you to the California Behavioral Health Association and California Hospital Association for bringing the field together for these conversations!
