Eyewear trends are getting a little more dramatic, and we’re here for it.

The office siren look is still going strong with sleek, narrow frames that make a statement on the right face. For men, we’re seeing more strong angles, boxy shapes, and thick temples with that cinematic European feel.

Trends are fun, but the right frame is the one that works with your face, your prescription, and your personal style.

If you have diabetes, your yearly eye exam is one appointment you don’t want to skip.

A dilated eye exam allows your eye doctor to get a closer look at the retina and check for signs of bleeding, leaking, or damage to the tiny blood vessels in the back of the eye. These changes can happen before you notice anything different about your vision.

Keeping up with annual dilated eye exams is an important part of protecting your eye health.

Luxury eyewear should feel like it was picked for you, not pulled off a rack.

The right shape, fit, color, and details can completely change how a frame looks once it’s on. Come in, try a few, and find the one that just works.

Is it a cataract… or just your glasses?

After 40, the lens inside your eye can slowly start to cloud — long before you have a name for it. Headlights grow starbursts. The menu needs more light than it used to. Your glasses feel a step behind, even though you just updated them.

The good news: cataracts move slowly, and an exam tells you exactly where you stand.

Swipe through the early signs, then book a comprehensive exam at our Cow Hollow office. Dr. Blas and Dr. Stroud will tell you what's going on and what, if anything, to do next.

If your eyes are tired before lunch, your screen might be part of the problem.

When you're focused on a screen, you blink less. Less blinking means your eyes dry out faster, leading to irritation, eye strain, and blurry vision by the end of the day.

Try the 20-20-20 rule: Every 20 minutes, look at something 20 feet away for 20 seconds. While you're at it, take a few slow, full blinks to help keep your eyes comfortable.

If your eyes feel tired every day, don't just push through it. It might be time for an eye exam.
