We’ve seen a LOT of creative home glasses repairs over the years 😅
Tape.
Superglue.
Fishing line.
Hot glue.
Random tiny screws from unknown locations.
And some pairs honestly surviving on pure determination alone
We totally understand wanting to fix them quickly at home when accidents happen…
BUT — home repairs can actually cause more damage and can void manufacturer warranties.
Before you try bending them back, gluing them together, or attempting a late-night DIY rescue mission, bring them in and let us take a look first.
If you’ve purchased a warranty or protection plan for your glasses, it’s important to know that home repairs can affect that coverage. Once frames are glued, heated, forced back into place, or altered at home, warranty claims may become much harder — or the coverage could be voided completely.
It’s also important to know that most warranties and protection plans are handled directly through the frame manufacturer or third-party warranty company. We’re always happy to help patients, but coverage decisions and replacements are ultimately determined by the warranty provider.
Sometimes what looks “broken beyond repair” is actually a quick adjustment, replacement screw, or simple fix that completely resolves the issue
