💗 Celebrating Strength, Courage, and Survivorship 💗

As Breast Cancer Awareness Month comes to a close, Optim Health System is proud to recognize four remarkable women within our Optim family who have faced breast cancer with incredible strength and resilience.

Today, we celebrate their journeys of survivorship:

🎀 Cheyenne Weaver, R.T. (R) (CT) (ARRT) – Radiology, Optim Medical Center Tattnall | Breast cancer survivor since August 2022.

🎀 Monica Griffee – Accounting Specialist, Optim Medical Center Tattnall | Diagnosed in 2020, Monica underwent a mastectomy, chemotherapy, and radiation treatments. She has been cancer-free since June 2021!

🎀 Janell Fogel – Optim Pain Management | Proud breast cancer survivor.

🎀 Carol Godbee – Laboratory, Optim Medical Center Screven | Celebrating 17 years of survivorship! Carol shares her gratitude for the healthcare professionals who cared for her and the Optim coworkers who supported her throughout her treatment and recovery.

Each of these women has a unique story, but together they remind us of the importance of hope, perseverance, early detection, and the power of a supportive community.

What a great turnout for yesterday’s Lunch & Learn with Optim Primary Care’s Dr. Joshua Wickstrom!

Dr. Wickstrom joined the Glennville Chamber of Commerce for an engaging afternoon of conversation, education, and even a few laughs along the way!

Attendees had the opportunity to learn more about the comprehensive family medicine services available at Optim Primary Care, ask questions, and get to know Dr. Wickstrom, who provides care for patients ages 2 through senior adulthood.

A big thank you to the Glennville Chamber of Commerce for hosting such a wonderful event and to everyone who joined us! We love opportunities to connect with our community, share valuable health information, and build relationships that support healthier lives.

Optim Medical Center Tattnall recently had the pleasure of welcoming seniors from Tattnall County High School for an opportunity to explore the many career paths available in healthcare!

From direct patient care to the essential roles that keep a hospital running, students had the chance to learn about the diverse opportunities within the healthcare field and gain valuable insight into potential future careers.

We loved sharing a glimpse into the world of healthcare with these bright young minds and hope their visit inspired some future healthcare professionals!

Optim Health System is proud to participate in the ILA Local 1414 & 1475 Breast Cancer Awareness Health & Wellness Event, supporting a mission that goes beyond breast cancer awareness to promote total health and wellness for women and men throughout the ILA family and port community.
