❤️ What a turnout!

On Tuesday, more than 650 community members joined MVP Health Care and Colonie Center for Ready, Set, School! Healthy Kids, Bright Futures.

Families spent the evening picking up backpacks, connecting with local providers and resources, enjoying free haircuts, face painting, balloon animals, and plenty of fun before the first day of school.

Thank you to everyone who attended, volunteered, and partnered with us to make the event possible. Seeing so many children and families laughing, learning, and preparing for the year ahead made for an unforgettable evening.

Showing up for our communities all month long. 🌟

In July, we were proud to serve as presenting sponsor of MVP Kids Day at West Capitol Park in Albany, a highlight of our summer every year that we bring to life with the New York State Office of General Services.

We also sponsored the Kids Zone at Schenectady Summer Night, celebrated a new Fitness Court in Westerlo through our Innovation Partnership with Albany County, and joined the Rochester Pride Festival, just a few of the many events we were part of this season.

Off camera, over 200 MVP volunteers gave their time to 40 organizations across the state. And we stood alongside Albany County and 4th Family supporting local youth and safer communities.

Grateful to be part of these moments, and proud to stand with the communities we serve. 💛

Air quality alerts can affect how we feel, breathe, and move through the day. Small steps can go a long way when the air takes a dip:

🏠 Stay inside during peak alert hours, especially if you have asthma, COPD, or a heart condition.

🪟 Keep windows closed and run fans, an air purifier, or your AC on recirculate to keep indoor air cleaner.

😷 Wear a well-fitting N95 if you need to be outside for a while — regular cloth or surgical masks don't filter fine particles.

🏃 Skip the outdoor workout or move it inside; even light activity outside means breathing in more polluted air.

🐾 Keep outdoor trips with pets brief — smoke and ozone affect their lungs too.
