So excited to officially be offering Nutritional Response Testing/ Muscle Testing at The Kove!

Muscle testing has roots dating back to the development of applied kinesiology in the 1960s, and over time different holistic practitioners have adapted muscle-response techniques as part of individualized wellness assessments.

I use it as a non-diagnostic wellness tool to explore how the body responds to different nutritional and wellness factors and to help guide a more personalized approach rather than simply guessing.

I’m so excited to bring another holistic tool into my practice and share it with you!

I’ll be out of the office tomorrow while continuing my education and hands-on training in muscle testing—another tool I’m excited to learn more about and bring into my holistic wellness approach.

So, what exactly is muscle testing?

Muscle testing, sometimes called applied kinesiology, uses a muscle’s response to gentle pressure as a form of assessment. Practitioners may use it as a complementary tool when exploring how the body responds to different stimuli, stressors, or wellness interventions.

The idea is that changes in muscle response can provide additional information that may help guide a more individualized wellness approach.

Over the next few weeks, I’ll be sharing much more about:
• the history of muscle testing
• how muscle testing is performed
• what practitioners use it for
• what a session may look like
• how I plan to incorporate what I’m learning into my practice

Important: Muscle testing is a complementary wellness technique and should not be used by itself to diagnose disease or replace appropriate medical evaluation, laboratory testing, or treatment.
