Some healing needs more than an hour a week.

Our intensives run 3 to 5 days, giving clinicians the time for a deep dive into what is really going on, not just the surface issue, but a personalized experience that gets to the root.

Sometimes you don’t need more time between sessions—you need more support.

If you’ve been in therapy for a while but feel like you’re still stuck in the same patterns, an intensive may be the next step.

At Vine + Root, our intensives provide dedicated time and space to slow down, go deeper, and focus on the things that are difficult to unpack in a traditional weekly session.

Whether you’re working through relationship struggles, anxiety, grief, trauma, life transitions, or simply feeling overwhelmed, you don’t have to keep carrying it alone.

🌿 Give yourself the space to do deeper work.

Reach out to Vine + Root to learn more about our intensive therapy options and find out if an intensive may be a good fit for you.

Real progress isn't measured by tangible things. It's in your train of thought. Are you more open? Do you handle feedback better? How do you speak to yourself and about others?

And if the answer is that you're not in a better place right now, that's okay too. It's not failure, it's data. What changed? What influenced the shift? That information is useful, not discouraging, and it's a great place to start in therapy.

Fear of failure does not protect you. It blocks you.

Building resilience means practicing a skill until you master it, and that means being okay with failing along the way. Avoid the discomfort and you avoid the growth too.

Taylor talks about listening to your body before it has to yell.

The goal isn't to eliminate stress. It's to build a relationship with it where it's not driving.

If you feel yourself creeping toward burnout or losing touch with how your mind and body are working together, that's a good time to reach out.

Learn to listen when your body whispers. We're here when you need us.

Grateful to celebrate Dr. Adrian Hickmon's first book, What Makes This Make Sense? The Core Systems Model that shapes his work has shaped ours too, getting to the root of the pain, not just where it shows up. Congratulations, Dr. Hickmon!

Capstone Wellness is proud to announce the release of What Makes This Make Sense?, the first book from our Founder and Clinical Architect, Dr. Adrian Hickmon.

Dr. Hickmon brings over 40 years of experience as a coach, teacher, clinician, and clinical supervisor. Including over 25,000 hours of clinical practice and supervision, and 20 years teaching in the Marriage and Family Therapy program at Harding University.

He founded Capstone Treatment Center, one of the nation's leading residential treatment programs for adolescent boys and young men, working with the whole family using his Core Systems Model.

This is a book for the fierce lovers and protectors, the parents, pastors, and therapists ready to lead with love and meet a struggling child where the pain actually began. It offers hope for families who feel stuck, hope for young people lost in the system, and hope for prevention for those with younger children still finding their way.

We had a great day on the course for an even greater cause! ⛳️💙

Vine and Root Counseling and Capstone Wellness were proud to team up and participate in the Child Safety Center’s golf tournament Friday, supporting an organization that does such important work for children and families in our community.

The Child Safety Center walks alongside kids and families through some of their hardest moments providing safety, support, advocacy, and a path forward when they need it most. We are grateful for the opportunity to support their mission and the incredible work they do every day.

Two teams, a little friendly competition, plenty of laughs, and a whole lot of support for an organization making a difference. We may not have all played like pros, but we were definitely playing for a great cause!🏌️‍♂️🏌️‍♀️🏌️

Thank you, Child Safety Center, for all you do for children and families. We are honored to support you! 💙
