I had to post this picture of me my husband took (because he thinks I am crazy😜)blowing up a balloon, while tying my shoes and getting ready for my workout. I joked with my clients that I blow a balloon every day at some point in time. We don’t always have the perfect moment in the perfect time, but I always tell them making the time, even if it’s small, you can makes huge changes. I just had to prove to my clients that I practice what I teach and preach.(you can ignore my son‘s Sasquatch slippers to my left.🤣🤣🤣)

AlignMend Physical Therapy is 5 years old today!

It is so crazy for me to believe that I opened my doors 5 years ago without a single client. 😳 I spend the first 8 years in private practice, but I had been in corporate occupational medicine for the 10 years prior to opening AlignMend, therefore when I opened my private practice, I did not have a group of clients to follow me into my new space. I was literally starting from nothing. ☹️

My practice has grown and so have I...A LOT. I have made many, many, many mistakes in learning how to manage and grow a practice. 💯 I have learned and am still learning how to manage a practice and still be a present mother and wife 🫶🏻 I am learning from my patients WAY more than they are learning from me. I am learning that more than anything, my patients grow my business. They share information with family, friends and coworkers how the practice of has changed their lives in so many ways. My patients make me stronger, have more patience, and continue to challenge my way of thinking and how I can help them for the better.

I will admit, some days are better than others. Some days I think “Should I even be practicing? Am I helping anyone”. All the practitioners out there know exactly what I am talking about. 🤪🙌. I always find when I have a harder day, no matter what, the next day brings joy, new learning, patient success and new step in my process.

As I travel back to Lincoln on Thursday this week for a new course Visual Vestibular Refinement it will be a good time for me to reflect, learn and be around people that make me feel stronger in my field, stronger in my practice and stronger in my mind. 💜 . Not in a million years did I think Lincoln NE of all places would be a place that I love to call “a second home’ but the community has changed that, and I am very much looking forward to seeing everyone again later this week.

Yay!! Today is a day that I am happy to be proud of myself and my growth. 💪🏼 Thank you to all my clients that have taught me to much. 🤗🥰

Whenever I come back from an event in Lincoln, NE it takes me a while to come out of the amazing haze I feel. I always think I am going to share something enlightening and wonderful, but what happens is I get caught up in my own thoughts and time goes by and next thing I know, it has been a few weeks and life has gone on.
For those who know me, Lincoln is a special place for me. It changed my world and my family on every level. It is a piece of home for me, being raised in the Midwest. I love the NW, but there is a peace I feel when I return to the open country, and I can appreciate the land deeply.
I was nervous about this trip to Lincoln. Lots of amazing individuals were going to be there. Could I keep up? Would I fit in? Could I hold a conversation? Man, my brain was going crazy.
Once again, I was reminded of why this community is so special. The unconditional love and the palatable, genuine interest of this community in the individuals (me included) that attended this summit was enough to make me cry with tears of appreciation and gratitude all the way home.
So, better late than never. Thank you to the family that made this event so special. I am sending big hugs 🤗 and red lipstick kisses 💋 (remember it doesn’t come off 🤣🤣🤣) to you all and to everyone I met and felt like I had known forever, I am truly grateful.
