It was a full house yesterday when we welcomed Dr. Jo Munson of Seattle Hearing and Wellness to The Kenney to talk all things audiology. She will be the newest healthcare professional to join our team of mobile specialists. Besides an audiologist, we also have an optometrist, a podiatrist, and a dental hygienist, all of whom make regular visits to our facility to make sure that our residents stay healthy with as little inconvenience as possible. We're so excited to welcome Dr. Munson to the Kenney fam!

'Twas a good day for a garage sale! The Saturday before Mother's Day our beautiful West Seattle community hosts hundreds of garage sales all over area. The Kenney is no exception. Thanks to the leadership of resident Pam Roth and her invaluable team, this year's sale was a huge success and brought in funds for projects throughout the year! See you next year...

We love our local scout troops! Last week Troop 41333 (otherwise known as Noemi, Ellyana, Morgan, Zadie and Eliana, along with mom Vanessa) paid us an afternoon visit to socialize, play games, and of course share some of their famous cookies 🍪. While we can't say for sure who won all the games, it's safe to say that everyone came out winners! Can't wait to see you all again soon.

It was a full house last week when we held a special screening of the short documentary film "The Last Act," starring our very own community member, Patsy Benson.

This meaningful film, produced by Amy Benson, and edited by West Seattle resident Kristin Ougendal, highlights personal story, reflection, and connection, and was followed by a Q&A discussion with the film's producers. We are so grateful to have had this opportunity to showcase one of our special residents. ❤️

It seems only fitting that St. Patrick's Day is one of our favorite days here at The Kenney. After all, our beautiful home in the Emerald City was founded by a couple from the Emerald Isle over 100 years ago! Residents and staff enjoyed many Celtic treats this week, including a potluck at the Ballymena, an outing to O'Donnell's pub downtown, an impromptu flute duo who showed up to play us a few jigs, and of course, a few pinches for those who neglected the wearing o' the green! 🍀
