WE’RE UNBELIEVABLE! 💜🧡

This week, we proudly celebrate our incredible Certified Nursing Assistants and the compassion, dedication, and heart they bring to our residents every single day.

CNAs are often the first smile in the morning, the comforting presence during difficult moments, and the helping hands that make a difference in countless ways. Their kindness, patience, and commitment help create the caring environment our residents call home.

To our CNA team: thank you for the care you provide, the relationships you build, and the difference you make each and every day. We are grateful for everything you do and honored to celebrate you this week!

🌸🎉 Nursing Home Week 2026 at Cascades of St. Anne 🎉🌈

What an incredible week of laughter, creativity, color, and community! Throughout Nursing Home Week, our residents and staff came together to celebrate with themed activities, decorations, games, and moments that reminded us just how special our community is. 💙

🌼 Floral Day brought beautiful flower mandalas, watercolor spring décor, and relaxing coloring activities.

👕 Crazy Shirt Day filled the building with bright colors, fun outfits, and creative energy from both staff and residents.

☀️ Fan the Fun Day kept the smiles going with playful summer-themed activities and upbeat fun throughout the day.

🌈 Pride/Rainbow Day was full of joy, kindness, and celebration with our rainbow photo booth, gratitude wall, colorful swag, and reminders that Love Wins and Love Is Love.

🍦 Our Neapolitan Ice Cream Theme Day wrapped up the week with pastel treats, joke stickers, trivia, quizzes, coloring stations, and random prize drawings that kept everyone laughing and engaged.

Throughout the week, residents, staff, families, and visitors participated in:

✨ Gratitude wall messages
✨ Resident coloring stations
✨ Staff quizzes and trivia
✨ Prize drawings
✨ Community and kindness activities

What a meaningful and creative experience for our residents and community! 🎭✨

We were honored to host SilverKite Community Arts’ intergenerational theatre performance, “A Masterpiece,” here at Cascades of St. Anne. This original production explored identity, aging, memory, and the relationships that shape our lives through storytelling shared across generations.

Our residents had the opportunity to experience a beautiful blend of theatre, creativity, and connection.

Yesterday, we had the joy of celebrating Mother’s Day with some of the incredible mothers in our community. Thank you to all the families, staff, and residents who helped make the day so special. Today we took a moment to slow down and appreciate the simple beauty of music.

One of our former residents, who shared their gift of piano with us during their time here, continues to leave a lasting impact. Their music filled our halls with warmth, comfort, and connection—and today, we honored that by gathering together for music appreciation.

For many of our residents, music isn’t just something to listen to—it’s memory, emotion, and expression. It brings back moments, creates new ones, and reminds us of the lives lived beyond these walls.

We are so grateful for the joy that was shared with us through those piano keys. It’s a reminder that even the smallest moments can leave the biggest impressions.

To welcome the season, our staff and residents shared poetry by Rainer Maria Rilke, Pablo Neruda, Marty Rubin, Kobayashi Issa, Charles Dickens, Christina Rossetti, and William Shakespeare. Their words are paired with scenes from our garden in bloom.

We brought a little magic to Cascades at Saint Anne with a themed celebration inspired by Wicked 💚🩷

Residents and staff enjoyed a fun-filled party featuring fresh pre-salad options with Asian salad and Caesar salad, refreshing iced beverages, and plenty of pizza to go around with 18 Domino’s pizzas shared for both residents and staff. To top it all off, we had themed pink and green desserts that added the perfect touch of sweetness to the day.

Moments like these are what make our community so special. Creating joy, connection, and a little bit of fun in the everyday ✨
