It is always bittersweet to leave CMAC.
This is one of my favorite meetings. Away from the glamour and spotlight of aesthetics, this is where people come to learn how to manage difficult cases. I come not only to teach, but also to learn. As always, the caliber of the speakers and content this year was exceptional.
I am honored to be a part of it, alongside people I deeply respect, many of whom I am lucky to call friends.
CMAC is very special. In an industry where patient safety and sometimes even common sense can be sacrificed on the altar of the almighty dollar, it is rare to be surrounded by people so committed to refining their craft and taking better care of their patients.
The audience reflects that same commitment. They stay from the first lecture to the final hour. They ask difficult questions and challenge our assumptions.
Once again, I left Chicago tired, intellectually overloaded, and very grateful.
I miss my friends already.
