Helen Keller Hospital is hiring two full-time RNs for our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). This role offers a great Monday–Friday day shift schedule and the opportunity to care for patients during their recovery after surgery.

Congratulations to our April Employee of the Month — Christy McKinney, RN, Clinical Education Specialist! 💚🩺

Christy plays an important role in supporting safe, high-quality care across Helen Keller Hospital through her expertise in wound care, clinical education and documentation. As the hospital’s wound care nurse, she is often called on to provide specialized support, review protocols, educate staff and help ensure our teams have the most up-to-date knowledge and resources.

Christy also supports new nurses and techs during clinical orientation, provides ongoing wound care education, stays current on certifications and best practices, and is currently developing a wound care class to further support staff education.

Thank you, Christy, for your dedication, expertise and the important work you do behind the scenes and at the bedside!

We enjoyed welcoming HOSA students from Kilby Laboratory School today for a hands-on look at different areas across our hospital. From the ambulance bay to departments throughout campus, the students had the opportunity to learn more about the people, teamwork and technology behind patient care.

We loved their curiosity and excitement for the future of healthcare. Thanks for visiting us!
