🍦You scream, I scream, we ALL scream for ICE CREAM!🍦

Friday is one of our FAVORITE days here at Shelby Manor because it’s Ice Cream Truck Day! The smiles, laughter, and excitement that fill our front porch each week make this sweet tradition so special.

We are honored to continue celebrating the life and memory of Ms. Ruth Wade and her absolute love for ice cream. What started as a special treat in her honor has become a cherished Friday tradition that our residents look forward to every single week. ❤️

Whether residents are able to come outside and enjoy the sunshine with friends or prefer to stay in their rooms, everyone gets to join in on the fun! Our Activity Director makes sure no one misses out by delivering ice cream right to their rooms, bringing smiles one sweet treat at a time. 🍦😊

We are so grateful to be able to continue this tradition and hope to keep the ice cream truck rolling all summer long! Take a look at some of the sweet memories made today—we know Ms. Ruth would be smiling right along with us. ❤️🍦

Today was a truly beautiful day as we gathered to celebrate the life, love, and cherished memories of Ms. “Lil Bit” Ann Jones. ❤️

Ms. Ann brought so much joy, laughter, kindness, and love to everyone she met at Shelby Manor. Her smile could light up a room, and her sweet spirit touched the hearts of residents, staff, family members, and friends alike. While we miss her deeply every day, we are so grateful for the countless memories she left behind and the lasting impact she made on our Shelby Manor family. She made nicknames while she was here and each of them for very special!

A heartfelt thank you goes to Connie and Jose for sponsoring such a wonderful cookout in Ms. Ann’s honor. Your generosity, thoughtfulness, and love helped create a truly special day filled with fellowship, laughter, delicious food, and precious moments shared together. It meant so much to all of us to have you there celebrating alongside us.

As you look through these photos, you’ll see more than just snapshots of a cookout—you’ll see smiles, friendships, love, and memories that will be treasured forever. Today reminded us that although loved ones may no longer be with us physically, the love they shared continues to live on in the hearts of those they touched.

We LOVE when South Mountain Bluegrass Band comes to visit!!!! They always draw such a big crowd and the residents really get into the music! 🎶 You can hear them play all throughout the building! 🥰 What a special gift that have them visit us monthly!!!! 🙏🏼
