💖5 YEARS IN THE BOOKS📚

Five years ago, I said yes to PaperPie (then Usborne Books & More)! I did it only for the short-term perks of a single party, free books for my homeschool, and a one-time commission.

Looking back, God knew my need and used PaperPie to fill it.

I needed community, friendship, income, and yes, free books for my kiddos. I also needed flexibility and a place to share my passions.

And I have so much gratitude, especially because I didn't even know what was going to happen!

Thankful for the friends, family, schools, and business owners for their support and giving me an opportunity to share my books over the years!

Thankful for the opportunities to help children grow a love of reading, nurture their curiosity, and promote healthy habits for health lives.

Thankful for the moms, dads, teachers, and grandparents who have trusted me to help them, not only find the perfect books, but take my encouragement and advice to heart.

Thankful for the impact on my own family. From meeting monthly budgeting goals, funding family fun, and nurturing my children's love of good literature & simple fun.

Thankful for my PiePal friends from all across the states- near and far. These are friendships I didn't know I needed. PaperPie has helped me find kindred spirits and my heart needed the laughter & support these ladies provide.

And of course, gratitude for the children's books that make ME smile and feel like a kid again.😆

Thank you for being part of my story. Whether you’ve bought a book, hosted an event, joined my team, cheered me on, or simply followed along, you’ve been part of this mission for literacy, and I’m thankful for you.

So that means lots of indoor activities! Books, games, dance videos, and forts..



❓What is your favorite indoor activity with the family?

A new favorite book of my 5 year old's is the new Fairytale Water Wonders! Have you heard of this set? It's water-only painting which is magical.... but even better, once it dries you can paint again!💧🖌️

When she recieved her new one, she demanded I get all the others out too😂 but too bad I keep the Christmas one put away!

It's a big time saver for hot & rainy days!🥵☔️

As we wrap up our Pages of Hope event, I am happy to share that together we reached 110 AND with my teammate, 400 children in foster care have been sponsored!!! 😍💙☀️ We look forward to sending these mental wellness books to Sunrise Children's Services (Kentucky)!

Many of you know that my husband works with foster care children and we share a big heart for helping children! 💙

So in honor of National Foster Care month, I’m hosting a mental health supporting book drive for Sunrise Children's Services (Kentucky): "Pages of Hope"☀️📘💛

For years I have seen & heard of the difficulties that foster care can cause for children & families through both my husband and dear friends. While I know I can't always be IN the room to help but I CAN send impactful material to support those that are. Children deserve access to resources that nurture their growth - especially when they need it most!

We will be providing the Mindful Kids collection! This series is written specifically for children to process their emotions through journaling & activities, and to know that they are not alone. It helps navigate feelings of anxiety, grief, sadness, anger through gentle journaling. Paired with the proper support this can be a great tool for them to reflect & remember that they are not alone.

My goal is BIG: 1,000 books for children in foster care in KY with Sunrise, and the beautiful part is that every single donation makes a big impact. Just $15 provides 4 books with our 50% book match for every donation! Even $5 provides 1.5 books!

Yesterday was super busy for us - not only did I drop my inventory albums but I also hosted my second annual private lessons recital!!

I love my kids but...🫣

I don’t love standing in a bookstore or scrolling a website overwhelmed, hoping I pick a ‘good’ book.


I'm the type that will look and look... then when I can't decide I just walk away.😅 can anyone relate?
