Recovery on the River 2026 has officially received TWO Proclamations! 🙌💜

A huge thank you to Shameka L. Parrish-Wright (Shameka L. Parrish-Wright for Louisville Mayor '26) for presenting one of these proclamations to us yesterday. We are incredibly grateful for your support of recovery, our community, and the work you do with VOCAL-Kentucky. 👏

We also want to extend our sincere thanks to Mayor Craig Greenberg's Office for issuing a second proclamation in honor of this event. 😍

Yesterday was officially declared Recovery on the River Day! 🎉

Together, we're breaking stigma, building hope, and showing our community what recovery truly looks like. 🤩 This recognition belongs to every person in recovery, every family member, every supporter, every volunteer, every partner, and every organization that believes recovery is possible. It also belongs to every person we have lost to the disease of addiction, overdose, or poisoning, and to those who are still suffering in silence today. 🫶

We carry their stories with us. We honor those we've lost, fight for those still struggling, and celebrate every person who has found hope, healing, and a new way of life. 🙌
