“August 1 was my second-year anniversary of living at Crosstown Square in Silvis, IL. It’s not always easy to make the decision to move into a community, but I’m so happy I did! One day you realize you are having a lot of difficulty fixing meals, housekeeping, etc. Isolation in the winter months also encouraged me to move to Crosstown Square. My mobility is not what it used to be, so I wouldn’t even attempt to go out in the snow, ice and cold temps. Here, I can still enjoy the company of others and let it snow, let it snow, let it snow…I’m not affected. Living at Crosstown Square gives me the ability to see old friends and make new friends. You can decide to stay in your apartment to read or watch TV or join others in our Social Room or other gathering places. Crafts are a welcome pastime. Did I mention meals? There’s always a nice selection of items on the menu and the Culinary team is fantastic. Meals have a homemade taste with a nice variety. My favorites are the Mexican selections…so yummy! My apartment is very roomy which gives me the ability to have space for my crafts, which is my favorite pastime! All apartments seem bright and cherry.
