Single-leg drills look “advanced”… but the body still has to solve the basics first.
If an athlete cannot control load, pressure, alignment, and trunk position on TWO feet, adding a single-leg anti-rotation challenge often just exposes compensations instead of building capacity.
Great rehab and performance training is not about making exercises harder for the sake of difficulty. It is about earning complexity through competency.

Stop asking “what’s the best Rotator Cuff exercise.”  We are finally moving past the idea of working the Rotator Cuff in isolation, band work, and just rest.
Many of us in the Sports Rehab / Performance are preaching and we need the parents to recognize with us that throwing injuries are often:
force transfer problems, deceleration problems, workload problems—not simply “weak shoulders.”
The shoulder is often the structure that complains (victim)…but not always the structure that started the problem (culprit).
High-level throwing rehab now has to include:
• pelvis/trunk sequencing
• scapular force coupling
• lead leg acceptance
• eccentric deceleration training
• thoracic rotation
The future of throwing rehab is not isolated muscles. It is integrated force management.
