Health Equity International provides essential health and support services for those in need. We run St.

Health Equity International provides essential health and support services for people in need. Boniface Hospital, the largest healthcare provider in southern Haiti. We built this special place from the ground up, together with the community we serve. We designed every service to meet and evolve with our patients’ needs. Our doors are always open, and no one is ever turned away because they cannot pay. Here, medical professionals from across the country come to learn and expand their skills. And our community health programs help people get care without having to travel far. Health Equity International believes good health helps everyone reach their full potential. Through quality, dignified, compassionate services, we are building a healthier world.

Vaccines are lifesaving and life-changing medicine. So far this year, our community health team has helped more than 300 children receive all of their essential vaccinations, protecting them from dangerous illnesses such as measles, diphtheria, and rotavirus.

Not every hospital in Haiti has a reliable supply of medical-grade oxygen. Thanks to our friends at and , we have an on-site oxygen plant we can use and maintain independently. We're also proud to support other health centers with the surplus oxygen we can create. Men anpil chay pa lou—many hands make light the load!

So far in 2026, we've seen a 20% increase in pediatric outpatient visits, an 11% increase in pediatric inpatient admissions, and a 4% increase in pediatric ER visits compared to last year. Children are among the most heavily impacted by Haiti's crises, and caregivers have a harder time than ever accessing care. We're grateful that for many families, the care they find at St. Boniface Hospital is worth the difficulty of getting here. We stop at nothing to get their little ones healthy and strong again.

There have been very heavy, damaging rains in Haiti this week. While St. Boniface Hospital remains unharmed, the flooding has made it difficult for patients to get to us. We remain open 24/7 for anyone in need, even when the weather makes it very challenging!

Is there anything more beautiful than Fond des Blancs at sunset? Even when the daylight fades, the work at St. Boniface Hospital continues. Long into the night, we'll be there for any patient in need.

Our skilled nurses work hard to ensure trainees learn proper techniques for everything. Even drawing medicine from a vial takes practice! If you're a nurse, what's the most important thing a mentor taught you?

Last week, our community health workers went to local schools to review proper handwashing with students. With a little guidance from our team, each student mastered the technique. We love that this little one was so intent on scrubbing just right!
