At Milieu Children’s Center, we believe children learn and grow best through connection, play, and meaningful relationships. Our approach is child-based and play-based, creating a space where children feel seen, supported, and empowered to grow. 💛

We’re looking for team members who are passionate about working with children and their families, value connection, and want to make a meaningful difference in the lives of the children we serve.

• Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs)

💬 Circles of Communication: Connection Before Perfection 💜

Here at Milieu Children’s Center, we talk a lot about circles of communication—those little moments of back-and-forth connection between a child and the people around them.

A circle can start with anything: a look, a smile, a gesture, a sound, an action, a word, or an idea during play. When we notice, respond, pause, and give our child a chance to respond back, we create opportunities for another circle to begin. 🔄

From a DIR® perspective, we’re not focused on how many words a child says or how many circles we can “get.” We’re building connection, engagement, shared attention, and meaningful back-and-forth interactions.

And parents, remember: you don’t have to do it perfectly. ❤️
Follow their lead. Join their world. Be curious. Pause. Wait. Respond.

Those tiny moments of connection throughout the day are powerful—and you’re making a difference, one circle at a time. 🌱

Last week was one for the books! 💛 Our kids had an amazing first week back, learning new routines, getting to know their friends and teachers, and exploring our “All About Me” theme. 🌈

We’ve been moving, grooving, playing, and exploring—from the playground to sensory experiences, every moment has been an opportunity to connect, learn, and grow. 🛝🎶🧠💫

Most importantly, we’re building something truly special: a strong, supportive, and beautiful community where every child feels seen, celebrated, and ready to shine. 💜

We’re excited to share some of the newest additions to our playground and sensory room at Milieu Children’s Center! 💛

We believe children thrive when they have plenty of opportunities to move, explore, connect, and integrate their senses through meaningful play. 🧠💫

From new lighting elements in our sensory space to our new monkey bars on the playground, these additions are designed to encourage movement, sensory exploration, motor planning, and—most importantly—FUN! 🐒✨

✨ Our Fall 2026 Extracurricular Schedule is Here! 🍎🎵⚽🧘🌈

We’re so excited to officially announce our after-school extracurricular programs at Milieu Children’s Center! Designed to encourage play, creativity, movement, and connection, there’s something for every child to enjoy.

📅 August 17 – December 17, 2026

Weekly Schedule:
🍎 Monday – Munch Bunch
🎵 Tuesday – Music
⚽ Wednesday – Sports
🧘 Thursday – Yoga
🌈 Friday – Sensory Adventures

💜 $35 per session

Parents are welcome to choose whichever extracurricular(s) best fit their child’s interests. Once enrolled, families commit to that selected program for the full Fall term, allowing children to build meaningful skills, friendships, and confidence throughout the semester.

🥕 NEW this Fall 2026at Milieu Children’s Center! 🍓

We’re so excited to introduce Munch Bunch—our newest after-school extracurricular designed for preschoolers who could benefit from a positive, pressure-free approach to exploring food.

Led by our certified Occupational Therapist with specialized training in picky eating and ARFID, children will build confidence around food through sensory play, art, stories, movement, and connection—without pressure to taste or eat.

✨ Mondays | August 17–December 17, 2026
$35 per session

If mealtimes feel stressful or your child has a limited variety of accepted foods, Munch Bunch is designed to help make food exploration fun, meaningful, and child-led.
