May is Better Speech & Hearing Month 💚

Right now, supporting speech-language pathologists isn’t just important, it’s critical.

Speech therapists help children find their voices, support individuals with disabilities in communicating their needs, and give families tools to connect, understand, and thrive. Communication is not a luxury. It is a basic human right.

But our field is facing real uncertainty. Changes in reimbursement, coding, and access to services are putting speech therapy at risk meaning fewer providers, longer waitlists, and families left without the support they depend on.

This month, we’re asking you to stand with us:
✔️ Advocate for access to speech services
✔️ Educate others on the importance of communication
✔️ Support your local therapists and clinics
✔️ Speak up because every voice matters

When you support speech therapists, you’re not just supporting a profession, you’re protecting the ability for children and families to be heard.

PART 1: If you were lucky enough to catch my Dakota on live Tuesday, you witnessed magic. Not only did she answer questions and engage with the live audience but we showed them her idiom vocabulary, ability to understand inferencing, AND practiced asking questions! This babe was virtual for a few months due to her busy schedule but the feeling I had when she walked into the office was one I’ll hold close to my heart. Welcome back, D!!!
