For more than 26 years, Harrington Hospital caregiver Elena Ortiz has been dedicated to supporting patients and families. Recently, she experienced that care from a different perspective, as a grandmother.

After bringing her granddaughter to the Webster Emergency Department during a severe allergic reaction, Elena shared her gratitude for the team who cared for them that evening.

"The care, compassion, professionalism and teamwork demonstrated by your Emergency Department staff were truly exceptional and deserve to be acknowledged."

Thank you to the physicians, nurses, security staff and caregivers who helped turn a frightening experience into one where a family felt safe, supported and genuinely cared for.

Paving work recently began at Harrington Hospital's Southbridge Campus and is expected to continue through mid-September, weather permitting. The project is being completed in phases to help maintain access to hospital services throughout construction.

Beginning August 22, the second phase of the project will get underway. During this phase, select parking lots and throughways at the front of the hospital will be temporarily closed for paving, repairs, and sealing. Clear signage, traffic cones, and on-site staff will be available to help direct patients and visitors and ensure safe access to the campus.

We encourage patients and visitors to check the project webpage regularly for parking maps and real-time updates on access route changes. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we make these important facility improvements!

Paving work begins at Harrington Hospital (Southbridge Campus) on Friday, August 14, lasting 4 to 5 weeks (weather permitting). Work is being done in phases to keep hospital services accessible

This month, we're recognizing our Harrington Hospital Vascular Access Team (VAT), a dedicated group of specialists who help ensure patients receive safe, effective vascular access care throughout the hospital.

From inserting PICC lines, midlines, and ultrasound-guided IVs to assessing patients and collaborating with caregivers to prevent complications, their expertise helps improve outcomes and preserve patients' veins for future treatment needs.

This team plays a vital role behind the scenes every day. Thank you for the exceptional care you provide to our patients and community!

The clinic offers outpatient Esketamine treatment and TMS therapy, providing innovative, evidence-based options for individuals living with treatment-resistant depression and other complex behavioral health needs.
