Today is a big moment for . 💙

ABF officially completed the Nonprofit Capacity Bootcamp through the Spartanburg County Foundation and received our certificate of completion. This wasn’t just a class — it was training focused on helping organizations build stronger systems, stronger leadership, better structure, and greater capacity to serve MORE people effectively.

To our youth: this means we are preparing ourselves to grow the RIGHT way. It means ABF is learning how to handle bigger opportunities, stronger partnerships, more programs, more impact, and more responsibility while continuing to serve our community with excellence.

And culturally, we need to normalize celebrating each other. Too often people compare, compete, criticize, or project their own ideas onto someone else’s vision instead of simply celebrating the win. Somebody else succeeding does not take anything away from you. We can clap for each other AND grow at the same time.

So today, celebrate with us. 🎉
This is a win for every student, every mentor, every parent, every supporter, and every person who believes in what we are building.

Drop some 💙💛🔥👏🏾 emojis in the comments and help us celebrate this milestone because ABF is growing… and we’re just getting started.

This Memorial Day, while many people were relaxing, the team at Plugged-In Barbershop chose to serve. 💈❤️

Today, they spent their holiday at Soup Kitchen giving back to the community through free haircuts, conversations, encouragement, and love. For many people, a haircut is more than just a cut — it’s confidence, dignity, a fresh start, and a reminder that somebody cares.

At The Allen Blash Foundation, we always talk about exposure, service, leadership, and showing up for people… and today these brothers did exactly that.

This is what community looks like.
This is what brotherhood looks like.
This is what impact looks like.

🎥 In this video, you’ll hear directly from the barbers themselves about what they gained from this experience and why serving others matters to them.

Please show love to these men for using their gifts to uplift others on a day meant to honor sacrifice and service. 🙏🏾✂️

FLASHBACK FRIDAY 💈🔥

One thing we’re always gonna teach our young kings at ABF is this: how you present yourself matters. Looking clean, smelling good, keeping yourself groomed, and carrying yourself with confidence can open doors before you even say a word.

First impressions matter with jobs, opportunities, professional settings, and yes… even with the ladies 😅💯

That’s why we brought the barbers into our After-School Inspiring Minds program at Spartanburg Prep. The fellas learned about self-care, hygiene, keeping their hair fresh between cuts, using sponges properly, confidence, presentation, and taking pride in themselves.

Sometimes mentorship looks like life talks.
Sometimes it looks like teaching young men how to level up.

Because when you look good, you feel good… and when you feel good, you move different. 🧠⚡️

Watching this group walk across that stage hit different.

These aren’t just “students” to me. These are young people I’ve laughed with, checked on, challenged, encouraged, redirected, celebrated, and believed in through real-life moments. Seeing the 2026 8th grade class from Spartanburg Preparatory School step into high school makes me proud in a way that’s hard to explain.

This is also personal for me because this is the first group of students from my programs here in Upstate South Carolina reaching high school. That means something. We’re not just building programs — we’re building journeys, relationships, confidence, leadership, accountability, and belief in themselves.

Some of these students came in quiet. Some came in guarded. Some came in full of energy and personality from day one. But every single one of them grew in their own way. And the biggest thing I hope they carry with them is the understanding that they are capable of more than the world will sometimes tell them.

I need y’all to understand something too… mentorship doesn’t stop because middle school ended. I’m still here. I’m still watching. I’m still checking grades. I’m still pulling up. I’m still believing in y’all through high school and beyond.

The goal was never just to “run a program.”
The goal was always impact. Legacy. Consistency. Presence.

Proud of y’all for real.
Now go attack high school the same way you attacked this year. 💙💛

Proud of our families. 💙

Tuesday we celebrated the graduation of our Triple P (Positive Parenting Program) families — a collaborative effort between Spartanburg Academic Movement (SAM), The Hope Center for Children, and The Allen Blash Foundation.

This program focused on strengthening communication, parenting strategies, emotional support, and healthier family dynamics for both parents and teens. Spartanburg Academic Movement helped fund the initiative, The Hope Center facilitated the parent sessions, and The Allen Blash Foundation facilitated the teen engagement and mentorship components.

Partnerships like this matter because real community impact happens when organizations come together with one shared goal: helping families grow stronger together.

Grateful for every parent, teen, and partner involved. 🙏
