Back to school = back to routines. 🎒

New grades, new teachers, new sports, new schedules… and usually a whole lot of adjusting for everyone in the family.

As you’re getting the kids back into their routines, it’s a great time to get chiropractic care back into yours, too.

Regular chiropractic care can help support the nervous system as our bodies adapt to physical and everyday stressors, especially as sports, activities and busier schedules kick back in.

Here’s to getting everyone back into a healthy rhythm for the school year! 🙌

A little Blair care update! 💚

As Blair grows, her chiropractic care grows right along with her. Right now, we’re paying attention to the movements and milestones that come with this busy stage of development.

We’re working on things like rolling from tummy to back, core activation for pushing up on her hands and sitting, comfortable head turning and looking up, and keeping those little hips moving well as she gets closer to the crawling phase.

We’re also checking her upper cervical area and sinuses when sickness hits, and supporting her body as she adjusts to solids, including those changing p**p habits. 😅

There’s a lot happening in that little body right now! Care at this age is gentle, specific, and always changing based on what Blair needs as she grows. 💚

We can say with absolute certainty: we are SO glad to have Kayla back! 💚

After a brief (and necessary!) break, Kayla is back at GLCC... and we’re quickly reminded just how much she brings to our clinic.

She has a way of bringing brightness wherever she goes, connecting so naturally with our patients and families, and somehow balancing all of that warmth with an incredible attention to detail behind the scenes.

Kayla, your skills, optimism, and energy are so appreciated. Thank you for being you, we’re so happy you’re back!

There’s a big difference between getting back to the things you love—and being able to keep doing them. 💚

For Melissa, chiropractic care has helped break the cycle of back pain, recovery, getting active again…and starting all over with another setback.

Since beginning care with Dr. Brooke in 2020, the goal has shifted from simply responding when something hurts to staying ahead of those little issues so she can keep moving.

And we love how Melissa puts it: staying physically active helps her show up better for her family, her business and her community.

We’re pretty honored that GLCC gets to be part of that plan.

Some mornings just fill your cup. 💚

Before noon, we had already heard:

A family sharing how much improvement they’ve experienced since coming to GLCC.

A patient who said they were “97% better.”

Another who went from significant pain last week to no pain that morning.

And another who discovered areas that needed attention they didn’t even realize were contributing to how they felt.

All before lunch. 😊

These are the conversations that happen in our office every day—and exactly why we love what we do.

If your Facebook feed is full of zucchini and tomatoes… you know what time it is. 🍅🥒

Harvest season also means plenty of bending, squatting, reaching and pulling—and a few hours in the garden can leave your body feeling it!

The biggest tip? Change positions often. There’s no prize for pulling an entire garden’s worth of weeds from the same hunched-over position. 😉

Dr. Brooke demonstrates a few simple ways to garden a little smarter and put less unnecessary strain on your back, shoulders and arms.

Your garden may be ready for harvest, but your back doesn’t need to pay for it! 🌱

“But can you adjust my squirrely toddler?” 😅

Absolutely! Toddler chiropractic care often looks a little different than you might expect—and we’re perfectly okay with that.

At this age, comfort and trust come first. We meet them where they’re at (sometimes quite literally!) and modify the adjustment to work with their busy little bodies rather than expecting them to sit still for us.

Because when you work with toddlers, flexibility is part of the job. 💚

One of our favorite parts of being a local practice is the relationships we get to build along the way.

Dr. Zach has the opportunity to care for Jason, owner of OakRidge Construction, Inc., and we're especially thankful for the role Jason and his team played in creating the space we call home. They took our vision for the clinic and transformed it into a welcoming, functional office with a flow that works beautifully for our patients and staff.

We have a great appreciation for the businesses that work hard behind the scenes to strengthen our community.

Thank you, Jason and the Oakridge team, for the care and craftsmanship you brought to our clinic—we're proud to recommend you just as you've trusted us with your care.

A concussion isn't always *just* a concussion.

The body is incredibly connected, and after a hit to the head, there may be more contributing to symptoms than people realize.

In this video, Dr. Zach explains why the neck is such an important part of the conversation when evaluating concussions and why it deserves attention during recovery.
