"I've worked in many settings as a nurse... the difference Unified offers is the chance to be a WHOLE nurse. A Unified nurse uses medical knowledge, critical thinking skills, time management and supervisory skills but also compassion and the psychological development knowledge we learn early on in course training. I would also add that we are encouraged to advocate for our residents.”

"It isn't the money you're making, it isn't the clothes you wear,
And it isn't the skill of your good right hand which makes folks really care.
It's the smile on your face and the light of your eye and the burdens that you bear." - Edgar A Guest

This quote is perfect for our facilities. We just love our residents for who they are and love seeing the light their smiles bring every day. 🙂

"On a daily basis, we get a little bit more time to interact with our clients versus working in a hospital or skilled setting."
Being able to take the time to make those connections and build a family environment is such a key component to Unified Care Systems and how we operate.

A Safe Place - What does that make you think of?

For many, it's your home or maybe a special place to them. But for some, they don't have access to a safe place. Either they no longer have a home or don't feel safe in the one they live in.

Our goal is to give those in need a safe place. We have high-quality assisted living facilities set up as safe and warm homes for those who need them. If you're interested in being a part of our home, check out our website for more information: https://ecs.page.link/rY9JW

Sheila and Adam Sessions started out caregiving at their home with young children as a way for Sheila to work while being a stay-at-home mom. Not only that, but Sheila has disabled brothers who gave her a passion for caregiving.

"I have worked at Unified for over 5 years. They have been helpful and kind to me since I started. With this type of employment, there are always ups and downs, but no matter what, I feel supported and cared for. I could not ask for a better job or place to work."

"One of the biggest issues some people with mental illness face is the availability of housing. For many people, having a mental health condition has no impact on their housing. Most people can and do live independently in apartments or in their own homes.

For others, the cascading effects of mental illness might leave them in a precarious housing situation or even cause them to lose their homes. Having a safe and secure place to live is an important part of recovery, along with access to services that enable those with mental health conditions to live as independently as possible." - Mental Health America

The ultimate goal of Unified Care is to get our residents to a place where they can live their best life. Most of our residents are with us long-term and we work to create a community where everyone can thrive.
