GHOSTS AT KREM2 TV STATION IN SPOKANE, WA

I was invited, along with The Spirited Medium Jennifer Von Behren to go talk about paranormal and do a walk thru" of the KREM2 news building for their Halloween segment, as there had been some strange activity.
As many buildings, this one also has a lot of residual energy.
It was once used for the KREM AM radio owned by Louis Wasmer, who in 1954 built an extension to the building for the KREM2 TV airing their first broadcast on October 29, 1954.
Today they share the building with KSKN22.
The first spirit that Jennifer saw was an older female by the reception desk as we walked in the building and waited to go do the interview.
During our interview Jennifer saw an older male spirit behind the news anchor Sydnee Scofield.
We started our walk thru' of the building in the main studio, where Jennifer saw a friendly and a bit flirty light haired male spirit wearing overalls peak around the corner by the kitchen set. He told Jennifer that his name is Ed and that he had been there in the 1960's. He also said that he is handy and had worked moving things around.
In the newsroom near the sports desk Jennifer saw a female spirit, who was attached to the person working in that area.
The newsroom had many employees, who seemed to have an attachment with them.
We moved on to the more historic area of the building not being used anymore. This room had a different energy feel and Jennifer saw a nice looking male spirit come in thru' the door on the right side. He looked at us and went back out after a female voice hollered "come on Gary". He seemed to be busy.
There had been a helicopter crash in the back parking lot in 1985, where 2 people had died. One of them was a photojournalist Gary Brown.
We continued on to the basement , where Jennifer saw 2 friendly male spirits in a small storage room. Their names were Charlie and Bob, who were buddies and they said that they used to come there to smoke. Now they pop in and out.
Charlie, the taller of the two and more talkative one said he used to move people around.
In the archive room Jennifer felt that there was a female spirit attachment to one of the tapes on the shelves. She was murdered and left on the side of the road. She also said they got the wrong guy.
In the boiler room there was a little "closet" area, where Jennifer saw a short haired female spirit hiding, who got hit in the head.
She likes to mess with people and freak them out. She feels that this is her space.
Last area in the basement we went to was a large storage room.
There were 4 spirits following us. One was Gary and his female friend and 2 other male spirits. One of the male spirits was a handyman while back.
We set up some equipment to see if any of them could communicate using them. Gary seemed interested in the equipment calling himself a little bit of a pro and the female thought they were fun. She liked to turn on the flashlight.
They also set off the K2 EMF meter. The music box, that worked fine before and after, malfunctioned. It is very common for the spirit energy to drain the batteries or cause issues with the equipment.
The female spirit said she has a daughter that works there.
The spirits like it there. Some of them worked there. One of their name was Kerry.
We did 4 evp sessions with a voice recorder during our walk thru' and got some quiet answers . In general one needs headphones to hear the spirit voices well.
Next we went to inside the women's bathroom, where there had been some activity.
Jennifer saw a giggling female spirit there, who used to work in the building.
In another room on the main level Jennifer saw an older married couple, They were very much attached to the building or the land.
Jennifer saw another female spirit in one of the offices, who again was attached to the person in there.
The last place we went to was the back parking lot, where 2 people had died in the helicopter crash.
Jennifer hears the word 'messy". She sees lots of ambulances etc. Lot of residual energy as well.
There is a male spirit saying he got out of the left side and was standing there watching what had happened. Then he said "damn bird. " If the death was fast, this is very common to happen.
Someone also said "it wasn't supposed to happen like that, it was supposed to be safe"
The 2 men that lost their lives in the helicopter crash were Gary Brown the photojournalist and the helicopter company owner pilot Cliff Richey.
We would like to thank the news anchor Sydnee Scotfield and the Producer Shannon Moudy as well as KREM 2 News for the invite and the opportunity to walk thru" the building.

Some interesting discussion on coast to coast.
I always say history and paranormal go hand in hand. Ghosts are part of the history and this is why researching the history is important and this is why I add it to all my posts if possible.
Factual evidence can validate what you see and hear. I also say not everything you see or hear is paranormal nor every darker energy is evil or devil.
Ghosts are around day and night. Evidence can be captured with lights on.
Everything is energy and energy attracts energy.
It is all about energy vibration and frequencies.
Being a paranormal investigator is so much more than looking for ghost energy to try and validate the existence of supernatural and trying to explain the unexplainable.
It is about helping people and spirits in need.
The paranormal is a mystery that science simply cannot explain in every case.

They are making a good point.
I always say not everything you hear or see is paranormal and all equipment can give you false positives. They can be affected by many things non paranormal.
Use your senses and pay attention to how you feel.

đź‘» DO WE RELY TOO MUCH ON OUR EQUIPMENT?

Let's have a conversation that might ruffle a few feathers in the paranormal community.

Years ago, investigators walked into locations with flashlights, cameras, audio recorders, notebooks, and their own senses.

Today, we have thermal cameras, SLS cameras, spirit boxes, REM Pods, paranormal apps, and more gadgets than some electronics stores.

But have we reached a point where we're watching our equipment more than we're observing our surroundings?

Don't get us wrong. At KenTenn Paranormal, we use plenty of equipment ourselves. Technology can help us document environmental changes, record potential evidence, and investigate things our senses might miss.

But equipment has limitations. A flashing light isn't automatically a spirit. A stick figure isn't automatically an apparition. And a word coming through a device isn't automatically communication.

Equipment gives us information. It doesn't automatically give us answers.

Sometimes the most important tool an investigator carries isn't electronic. It's the ability to observe, question, think critically, and recognize when something has a perfectly normal explanation.

We're not suggesting anyone abandon their equipment. We're asking whether we've become so dependent on it that we sometimes forget how to investigate without it.

And here's the important part: using more equipment doesn't make you a better investigator, and using less doesn't make you a better investigator either.

It's what you do with the information that matters.

👇 So let's hear from you: Are paranormal investigators becoming too dependent on technology, or has modern equipment made us better at what we do?

Different opinions welcome. Respectful discussion encouraged.

👻 THERE IS ONE RULE IN PARANORMAL INVESTIGATION…

Do what works for YOU.

Old school? Do it.
New school? Do it.
A little bit of both? Absolutely.

Use apps. Don’t use apps. Carry a case full of equipment or walk in with a recorder, flashlight and your own senses.

There is no single method that makes someone a “real” paranormal investigator.

What matters is what you do with the information you collect.

Question your evidence.
Try to debunk it.
Respect the location.
Respect the people—living and dead.
And be willing to admit when you simply don’t know.

We don't all have to investigate the same way.

But there is one rule I think we should all agree on:

JUST DON’T FAKE IT.

Find your methods. Learn from your mistakes. Keep evolving.
