What shaped us doesn't have to determine what we become.

I took this photo of Hotel Fort Canning in Singapore, a building that has spent nearly a century being repurposed. Once a military command center, its walls have held entirely different ways of working, living, and thinking over the years.

It made me think about the structures we carry within ourselves.

We all have an internal history. Our subconscious holds beliefs about work, success, productivity, rest, and even our own worth, many of which were formed long before we ever chose them. But history ISN'T destiny.

This Labor Day, perhaps it's worth asking: What beliefs are you working from?🔍

One of the things I ask of my clients is something I ask of myself, too: "Stay open."📂

Open to discovering that an old belief may no longer be true. Open to responding differently than I have before. Open to the possibility that there is still more to learn about myself.

Our subconscious is incredibly powerful, but it isn't fixed. When we bring awareness to the patterns operating beneath the surface, we create space for new beliefs, new responses, and new possibilities. And I try to remember that in my own life. Growth doesn't require having everything figured out. Sometimes it simply requires being willing to see yourself differently. 🪞

My followers who have been with me a while may remember when I shared my incredible experiences at Wild Blessings Ranch with and in Grand Haven, MI. Their amazing reiki horses helped me to stay in my body during the healing process. Why is it so important?

🐎Your body holds wisdom. You must interact with it to learn.
🐎 Staying put in the "now" stops worry and limiting belief loops.
🐎 Focusing on being present regulates your nervous system.
