When medicine meets art. 🎯

A fluoroscopically guided C1–2 facet joint injection—performed with precision in one of the most technically demanding areas of the cervical spine.

Pain arising from the C1–2 (atlantoaxial) joint is an uncommon and often overlooked source of severe upper neck and occipital pain. Because it can mimic more common headache and cervical pain conditions, identifying the true pain generator requires careful evaluation and, at times, looking beyond the traditional approach.

At Advanced Spine & Pain Specialists, Dr. Khoury goes beyond simply treating symptoms. When conventional treatments haven’t provided answers, he works to identify the underlying source of pain and considers advanced diagnostic and interventional options when appropriate.
