Sometimes the biggest hurdle is just not knowing why you feel stuck or overwhelmed.

Psychological testing is all about clarity. It is a systematic process to evaluate how your brain uniquely handles cognitive, emotional, and behavioral challenges.

We offer assessments for personality, intelligence, and academic performance that allow us to:

- Identify the root of mental health or learning concerns.
- Guide you toward the exact right treatment plan or accommodations at school/work.
- Pinpoint your innate strengths so you can foster personal growth.

Stop navigating in the dark. If you’re ready to get concrete answers and a map for your next steps, we are here to help.

Between school, sports, social media, and the everyday challenges of figuring out who they are, teen boys are facing an overwhelming amount of pressure. Unfortunately, many do not have a safe, structured space to openly process that stress.

A reminder that The Fellas Chatline, a supportive group designed to help boys ages 13–16 build confidence, improve communication skills, and develop healthier coping strategies, will start this June 4.

Led by a licensed mental health professional, this weekly group provides a relaxed but productive environment. It is a space where teens can talk honestly, learn emotional regulation, and build resilience alongside peers their own age.

As Mental Health Awareness Month comes to a close, we want to share a gentle reminder: Your well-being isn't a seasonal trend.

Over the last few weeks, we’ve talked about everything from digital boundaries and the Window of Tolerance to the power of vulnerability and finding peace in solitude. Our hope is that these conversations have made the idea of therapy feel a little less mysterious and a lot more accessible.

But awareness is just the first step. The real growth happens in the daily, consistent choices you make to honor your needs, set your boundaries, and reach out for support when things get heavy.

Whether it’s June, January, or any day in between, our team at GHCS is here to walk with you. You don't need a special month as an excuse to prioritize your peace.

Thank you for being part of our community this month. Let’s keep moving forward together. 🌿

📱 Text us whenever you're ready to start your journey.

In a world that is more digitally connected than ever, it is surprisingly easy to feel more isolated than ever before.

As we wrap up Mental Health Awareness Month, we want to look at the difference between Loneliness and Solitude.

Loneliness is a feeling of being disconnected or misunderstood. It is often heavy, unwanted, and can happen even when you are in a room full of people. It’s a signal that your need for meaningful connection isn’t being met.

Solitude is a choice. It is the practice of being alone without being lonely. It is a space for reflection, rest, and reconnecting with yourself. In solitude, you aren't ""missing"" anyone — you are simply ""meeting"" yourself.

If you find that being alone always feels like a burden rather than a break, it might be time to look at the quality of your connections — both with others and with yourself.

Therapy is a wonderful place to explore these feelings, build deeper social confidence, and learn how to find genuine peace in your own company.

Do negative thoughts ever make you feel stuck? When negative thinking patterns go unchallenged, they can seriously limit how we respond to life’s daily challenges. But you don't have to untangle them all by yourself.

Meet Gaby Pacheco! As a bilingual (English/Spanish) LPC-Associate at GHCS, Gaby works with children (ages 10+), teens, and adults to help them shift those patterns. Using a blend of CBT, DBT, and a person-centered approach, she helps clients build coping skills, improve relationships, and process trauma in a safe, judgment-free space.

Gaby believes therapy is a deeply collaborative process. She brings the insight and therapeutic tools into the room, but your voice, your story, and your goals will always guide the work.

🌟 Fun fact: Before becoming a therapist, Gaby’s very first professional role was working as a case manager for adults with disabilities! That experience taught her the true power of advocacy, patience, and human connection — qualities she brings into every single therapy session today.

Starting therapy is a powerful step toward deeper self-connection.

Have you ever been going through a genuinely difficult time, only for someone to tell you to ""just look on the bright side""?

As we approach the end of Mental Health Awareness Month, let’s talk about the pressure to be constantly positive. While optimism is great, forcing yourself to feel happy when you are actually stressed, grieving, or overwhelmed is a recipe for emotional burnout. It’s often called ""toxic positivity,"" and it usually does more harm than good.

If positive self-talk feels fake or impossible right now, try neutral self-talk instead.

Instead of forcing: ""Everything is going to be perfectly fine!""

Try neutral: ""This situation is incredibly difficult right now, but I am taking it one step at a time.""

Instead of forcing: ""I love absolutely everything about myself!""

Try neutral: ""I am a human being who is still learning, and I deserve to treat myself with respect.""

Neutral self-talk bridges the gap. It allows you to honestly acknowledge reality without spiraling into negativity.

If your inner critic is currently running the show, our therapists can help you learn how to rewrite the script.

Memorial Day is a time of profound reflection. Today, we pause to honor the courage and sacrifice of the men and women who gave their lives in service to our country.

As we observe this day of remembrance, we also want to gently remind you about the value of resting. For many of us, a long weekend simply becomes another opportunity to catch up on a mountain of chores or get ahead on work. But true rest isn't a luxury — it is a fundamental human need.

Today, we invite you to actually pause. Spend time with your loved ones, step away from the endless to-do list, and allow your mind and body to genuinely exhale.

From all of us at GHCS, we wish you a safe, peaceful, and reflective Memorial Day.
