Recovery doesn’t have one look.

Recovery can look like rebuilding relationships.
Finding stable housing.
Taking care of your health.
Learning how to ask for help.
Setting boundaries.
Therapy.
Medication.
Harm reduction.
Going back to school.
Getting a job.
A support group or meeting.
Trying again tomorrow.

Sometimes recovery is a huge milestone.

Sometimes it’s simply making one healthier choice than you did yesterday.

There is no single road everyone has to walk.

This Recovery Month we celebrate every step toward healing, stability, connection and a life that feels worth living.

Progress matters.
Positive change matters.
People matter.

All pathways. All people. All recovery.

September is Recovery Month.

As we step into a month full of events, connection, celebration and all the good that recovery brings, we must remember one thing:

There are many pathways to recovery and every pathway deserves to be honored.

Recovery does not look the same for everyone and it doesn’t have to.

This month we celebrate all recovery, all positive change and every person moving toward a healthier, safer, more connected life.

However your recovery looks, there is room for you here.

What a beautiful evening for International Overdose Awareness Day. 💜

Was it HOT? 🥵 Absolutely. But our community still showed up.

We showed up to remember.
We showed up to honor.
We showed up to share love.
We showed up for the people we’ve lost, the people still fighting, the families carrying grief, and the people whose stories are still being written.

There is something powerful about standing together, saying their names, sharing their memories, and reminding one another that every life matters.

Tonight was about remembrance, connection, hope, and continuing the work to end overdose and the stigma that too often surrounds it.

Thank you to everyone who came out, walked with us, stopped by our table, shared a hug, told a story, carried naloxone, or simply stood beside someone who needed it.

We remember. We love. We keep showing up. 💜

And please — carry naloxone. You never know when you may have the opportunity to save a life.

August is Overdose Awareness Month, and on August 31, we will gather to remember the people behind the numbers. 💜

The sons. The daughters. The mothers and fathers. The siblings, partners, friends, neighbors, and people who were deeply loved.

If you have lost someone to overdose, we would be honored to remember them with you.

Please send us a photo of your loved one to be included in our memorial. We want their faces seen. We want their names spoken. We want the world to remember that every overdose death represents an entire life—a person with a story, people who loved them, and a place in this world that can never quite be filled the same way again.

There is no shame here.
No judgment.
Only love, remembrance and the belief that every life mattered.

Join us for International Overdose Awareness Day on August 31 from 6–8 PM at Westside Missionary Baptist Church, 4675 Page Blvd.

Food will be provided.

💜 Submit your loved one’s photo at MoNetwork.org/memorial or scan the QR code on the flyer.

Come remember with us. Come say their names with us. Come stand beside families who understand.

Empathy over judgment. Hope over silence.

Because they were here.
They were loved.
And they deserve to be remembered. 💜

💜 August is Overdose Awareness Month💜
A time to remember the lives we have lost, honor the people who are still here and continue working toward a future where fewer families have to experience the devastation of overdose.

International Overdose Awareness Day is August 31, and MoNetwork is proud to partner with HEAL, SOUL, PreventEd, and St. Louis County for an evening of remembrance, connection and community.

On Monday, August 31:

💜 5:30 PM — Gather
💜 6:00 PM — Tribute to lives lost
💜 Walk to follow

📍 Concordia Lutheran Church
505 S. Kirkwood Rd.
St. Louis, MO 63122

👟 We invite you to bring a pair of lightly used shoes for the remembrance display and donation.
🫶 Resources and naloxone (Narcan) will also be available.

Every pair of shoes represents a life.
Every life mattered.
Every person still here matters, too.

We remember without shame.
We grieve without stigma.
And we keep doing the work to make sure more people get the chance to come home.

Remember. Prevent. End the stigma. 💜

We remember the lives lost due to overdose and offer support for individuals and families affected by substance misuse.

You can make meaningful change.

Remove barriers by spreading the message.
