Southern OB/GYN practice is looking for a compassionate, dependable Full-Time Medical Assistant to join our team! Medical Assistant certification is preferred, along with a positive attitude and a commitment to providing exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities include:
• Rooming patients and obtaining vital signs
• Assisting providers during patient examinations and procedures
• Preparing exam rooms and maintaining cleanliness
• Documenting patient information accurately in the electronic medical record (EMR)
• Assisting with patient education and follow-up instructions
• Answering phones, scheduling appointments, and other front office duties as needed
• Maintaining patient confidentiality while providing exceptional patient care

MEET THE STAR: Shelly Clary ✨

Next up in our Sweet 16 spotlight is Star Shelly Clary, who is paired with Dance Pro Trenton Higginbotham for this year’s Dancing with the Statesboro Stars! 💃

“I’ve been a Family Nurse Practitioner in the Statesboro area for over a decade. I recently joined Southern OB/GYN; now I get to listen to baby hearts and heal lady parts! Healing and helping people is what I love to do, both in the clinic and out in the community. When I'm not checking vitals, I’m navigating raising teenagers with the love of my life. To stay grounded and recharge, you can find me lost in a good book, exploring the great outdoors, trying some pilates or planning our next travel adventure. Because I believe everyone deserves the peace of a safe home, I’m honored to have been chosen to help fundraise and give back to the Statesboro community. Safe Haven does incredible work providing emergency shelter, advocacy, and a fresh start for victims of domestic violence.” — Shelly Clary 💜
