Mr. James Atkinson

James Atkinson, born on October 24, 1948, in Emanuel County, Georgia, to the late Rev. Sir Walter Atkinson, Sr. and Beaulah Mae Mosley Atkinson, peacefully departed this life surrounded by the love of family and friends. At an early age, James gave his life to Christ and carried his faith with him throughout his life.

James graduated from William James High School in 1967. On September 14, 1968, he married the love of his life, Mary Frink Atkinson, and together they built a strong and loving family rooted in faith, dedication, and love for almost 58 years.

James was a hardworking and devoted man who retired from Brodie Meter Company in 2017 after more than 50 years of faithful service. He was known for his strong work ethic, kind spirit, and deep love for his family. In his spare time, he enjoyed traveling, working on cars, woodworking, camping, and creating lasting photography memories as owner/operator of Treatk Wedding Photography and Video.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Sir Walter Atkinson, Sr. and Beaulah Mae Mosley Atkinson; three brothers, George Atkinson, Seth Atkinson, and William Atkins; and three sisters, Sharlene Robinson, Annie Kay Briggs, and Juanita McNeil.

He leaves to cherish his precious memories his loving and devoted wife, Mary Frink Atkinson; three children , Tracy L. Atkinson & Tony L. Atkinson, Statesboro, Ga, and Timothy L. Atkinson of Pooler, Ga; seven granddaughters, Kymberli Atkinson, Jasmine Atkinson, Jalyn Atkinson, Nikki Atkinson, Jabria Atkinson, Aaniyah Murray, and Payton Atkinson; two great-grandchildren, Karsen Atkinson & Nyla Simpkins ; 1 sister, Ida Ruth Stubbs, Miami, Fl, and 3 brothers; Robert Atkinson, Miami, Fl , Earnest Atkinson (Portia) Warner Robins, Ga , Walter Atkinson Jr, Metter, Ga, and 1 brother in law Archie Briggs, Miami, Fl along with a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and dear friends who will forever treasure his love and legacy.

James will be remembered for his warm heart, unwavering devotion to his family, and the joy he found in life’s simple moments. His legacy of love, and dedication will continue to live on in all who knew and loved him.

Visitation will be held on Monday, June 1, 2026 from 6:00p.m.-7:00p.m. at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home Chapel, 238 West Main Street, Statesboro, GA 30458.

Celebration of Life service will be held on Tuesday, June 2, 2026 at 11a.m. at Craig R. Tremble Funeral Home Chapel, 238 West Main Street, Statesboro, GA 30458. Elder Shane Mosley,

Interment will be held at Springhill Missionary Baptist Church, 1405 Old Register Way, Statesboro, GA 30458

Owerrie Davon Bacon, Sr.

With heartfelt sympathy and compassion, Craig R. Tremble Funeral Homes, Inc., Pembroke Chapel, along with the family, announces the passing of Mr. Owerrie Davon Bacon, Sr.

Mr. Owerrie Davon Bacon, Sr., age 49, of Syracuse, New York, transitioned on Sunday, May 24, 2026, at his residence.

He was born in Hinesville, Georgia, and at the age of one was raised in Syracuse, New York, where he spent the remainder of his life building lasting relationships and a strong work ethic. Owerrie worked as a contractor and took great pride in his craft, especially the detailed finish work of painting, which reflected his skill and dedication.

His life and legacy will be remembered with love, and his presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Celebration of Life was held on Monday, June 1, 2026 at 12:00pm at Farone & Son, Inc Funeral Home, 1500 Park Street, Syracuse, NY 13208.
