I take resting very seriously.

A good pillow helps.

But there’s something even better about knowing you are safe, loved, and cared for.

“In peace I will lie down and sleep, for you alone, LORD, make me dwell in safety.”
— Psalm 4:8

Wishing you a peaceful Sunday from my favorite spot.

My little friend went back to the Philippines last month.

She used to call me “Daisy-Cutie.”

I liked that.

The house feels quieter now, and I still find myself listening for her like she might walk back in any moment.

I miss her already.

Good care requires more than completing a list of tasks.

It means paying attention.

Noticing when someone is a little quieter than usual. When their appetite changes. When walking takes a little more effort. Or when something simply seems different.

Often, the smallest changes tell us the most.

I’ve learned that knowing a person well helps us notice what a checklist never could.

Good care notices.

That’s part of The NuCare Way.

There comes a time when helping someone you love can become more than one person—or one family—can manage alone.

That doesn’t mean you stop being their family. It means you may need someone to walk alongside you.

At NuCare, care is personal, relationships matter, and families can breathe a little easier knowing someone else is paying attention to the everyday details.

If you’re beginning to wonder whether it’s time for more help, I’d be happy to talk with you—even if you’re only beginning to explore your options.

Current opening available. Individuals and couples welcome.

Sometimes being Mom’s daughter quietly turns into managing medications, meals, appointments, personal care, safety—and a hundred little things no one else sees.

There is a time to step in and help. But there may also come a time when loving her means letting someone else carry the daily care.

Getting help isn’t giving up on Mom. Sometimes it gives you the freedom to simply be her daughter again.

Make sure she is safe, known, and well cared for. Then give yourself permission to enjoy being family again.

Well…NuCare has a temporary new resident. 😂

Ray had a knee replacement last week, and it turns out there are certain advantages to being married to someone who runs an adult foster care home.

Private room? Check.
Around-the-clock caregiver? Check.
Meals delivered? Check.
A wife who knows entirely too much about how much he should be moving? Unfortunately for Ray…check. 😂

He’s recovering well and getting a firsthand look at life on the other side of caregiving.

Something tells me this may provide a little material for us over the next few weeks.

Any advice for our newest temporary resident from those of you who’ve been through a knee replacement?

DaisyQ Diaries 🐾

Daddy’s wife says Sundays are for slowing down.

I think she’s right.

The world is always in a hurry, but today reminds us to pause…to be thankful…and to remember that God is with us in both the exciting adventures and the quiet ones.

I’ve found that some of life’s sweetest moments happen when we’re simply together.

I hope your Sunday is filled with peace, laughter, and reminders of God’s faithful love.

Love,
