Tea friends, help a girl out.

I'm working on a peach cold brew tea, and I think part of the problem is that peach just isn't a flavor I naturally gravitate toward. My mom loves it. Me? Not so much. 😆

So when you think of peach tea, what sounds good?

Check out that brood pattern... 🐝

Those tan capped cells are baby bees in the making. The queen laid an egg in each one, and now they're tucked away behind a little wax cap while they finish developing.

In about three weeks, a worker bee goes from egg to fully grown bee. A frame like this means lots of new workers will be joining the workforce soon.

The girls are hiring. 😉

Honey Update 🍯

Hey y'all! I get asked almost daily if I have any honey available (and I love that y'all love it so much!)

The honey flow has been a little slower than usual this spring. Between the drought and all the rain, the bees have had a slow start to the season. The good news is things are blooming now, and we're hopeful they'll have plenty of opportunities to make up for lost time.
I don't have a date for honey yet, but I promise y'all will be the first to know when it's ready!

No, they're not getting ready to swarm. 😉

This is called bearding. On hot, humid days, some of the bees gather outside the hive to help keep the inside cooler and less crowded. It's basically the bee version of stepping outside for some fresh air. 🐝☀️

Stopped by Sage Tea & Treats picked up a couple of fun mugs, grabbed a few sweet treats from Oh My Lanta Sweets and picked up a book from The Sprouting Author. Sarah the Steeper and I have a lot in common 😉
