📚☕ Book Club Day at Skyland Care Center! ☕📚
Today was Book Club day, and our residents enjoyed spending time together with great books, hot coffee, and delicious doughnuts 🤠. Everyone always looks forward to finding new reading material and sharing their favorite stories.
We also took our mobile book cart room-to-room, making sure residents who couldn't attend still had the opportunity to browse for books and enjoy the same special treats 📚🍩🙂.
Reading brings joy, relaxation, and wonderful conversations. It was another great day filled with smiles, good books, and sweet fellowship at Skyland Care Center! ❤️📖

Little Canada, here we come! 🏔️🧺
What a beautiful day for a picnic in our gorgeous mountains. Residents enjoyed bologna, turkey, or ham sandwiches with all the fixings, followed by delicious homemade banana pudding for dessert.
A special thank you to Girleen's family for the wonderful Amish cakes and breads they provided. Your kindness helped make our day even more special.
Fresh mountain air, great food, and wonderful friends made for a perfect afternoon. ❤️😊

🌱☀️ Our ladies at Skyland Care have been busy today! Early this morning, they spent time tending to our garden. The cucumbers 🥒 and tomatoes 🍅 are starting to grow, and we planted lettuce 🥬 earlier this week. We're already looking forward to enjoying some fresh BLTs!
This afternoon, we stayed busy making signs for our upcoming Elder Abuse Awareness Walk. Our residents enjoyed getting creative while helping spread an important message. Make plans to come out and support our elders as we raise awareness and stand together against elder abuse. 💜🚶‍♀️🚶‍♂️

What a fun day trip across the Smoky Mountains! 🚐⛰️
Pigeon Forge, here we come! Our residents enjoyed a wonderful lunch at Mama's Farmhouse, where the staff treated them so well and even surprised them with lots of extras. After lunch, we headed to Old Time Pottery for a little shopping adventure. There were plenty of great finds and bargains, and everyone enjoyed browsing the aisles.
To top off the day, we made one final stop at Krispy Kreme for some delicious donuts before heading home. The laughter, shopping, good food, and beautiful mountain scenery made for a wonderful day filled with memories.

Our ladies enjoyed a relaxing manicure day today. They had so much fun choosing their favorite nail polish colors, and each one picked a beautiful shade that matched their unique style. From bright and cheerful to soft and elegant, the colors looked absolutely gorgeous. The smiles, conversation, and pampering made for a wonderful afternoon.
