Their compassion, dedication, and commitment to our residents shine through in everything they do. From offering comfort and support to creating meaningful connections, they live our CARES values each and every day.

While CNA Week gives us a chance to celebrate them, our appreciation doesn't stop there. We are grateful for our CNAs all year long and thankful for the difference they make in the lives of our residents, families, and teams.

Earlier this week, Mission Health was proud to have team members represented at the AHCA Congressional Briefing in Washington, D.C.

Representing Mission Health were Tina Thomas, Senior VP of Operations; Adrian Monroe, VP of Business Development; Chrissy Morgan, Regional Director of Clinical Services; Amy Meinecke, Executive Director at The Residence at North Ridge; and Steve Erkson, Administrator at Kaw River Care & Rehabilitation Center.

Their time on Capitol Hill provided an opportunity to advocate for the future of long-term care, share the realities facing our communities, and ensure the voices of our residents, families, and caregivers are heard by lawmakers.

One special stop along the way was the National World War II Memorial, where the team discovered that our three states, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Kansas are positioned right next to one another. It was the perfect photo opportunity!

We are grateful for these leaders who continue to champion our mission and live our CARES values through service, advocacy, and a commitment to enhancing the lives we serve.

💙Happy CNA Week!💚

This is a special week for our CNAs as they recieve the recognition they deserve! Our incredibly compassionate group of CNAs are on the front lines and provide round the clock care for our residents to ensure they receive their medications, have fun, and make them feel at home. We may be biased, but Mission Health has the best CNAs.

Thank you for keeping a smile on your face and living the CARES values when you walk in the door. Your hard work does not go unnoticed. We look forward to celebrating your accomplishments this week and every day after!

We are proud to celebrate Downs Care & Rehabilitation Center for earning a 5-Star Overall Rating from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS)—the highest rating possible. A 5-star rating reflects much above average quality and recognizes excellence in areas including health inspections, staffing, and quality measures.

This achievement is a testament to the dedication of our team members who live our CARES values every day through compassionate care, clinical excellence, and a commitment to enhancing the lives we serve through exceptional Mission experiences.

Congratulations to the team members of Downs Care & Rehab on this outstanding accomplishment. Your hard work, heart, and commitment to quality continue to make a difference every day.

Mission Health Kansas Tour 🤘🏻

Last week, our incredible leaders, Tina Thomas, Adrian Monroe, Karen McDonald, Alicia Weide, and Leslie Zimmerman-Black had the great opportunity to drive across Kansas to visit with several communities with stops in Topeka, Wilson, Colby, Smith Center, Hutchinson, Chase County, and Onaga.

The team was excited to make a few pit stops along the way to visit some Kansas histroical landmarks, but the highlight of the trip was seeing the Mission Giving Free Little Libraries from our Annual Leadership Conference now proudly displayed in our communities. What began as a service project has become a meaningful way to promote connection, learning, and community engagement for residents, families, team members, and neighbors.

Thank you to our administraotrs and directors of nursing for your warm welcome and for continuing to make a difference every day through the Mission Experience.

Today we pause to remember the brave men and women who gave their lives in service to our country. 🇺🇸

Memorial Day is more than a long weekend—it’s a moment to honor the courage, sacrifice, and selflessness of those who never made it home. Because of them, we enjoy the freedoms we often take for granted.

Let us remember their names, their stories, and the families who carry their legacy forward. May we live our lives in a way that honors the price they paid.

Today we celebrate the mothers, grandmothers, and mother figures in our communities whose love, wisdom, and stories have shaped generations. We are honored to care for these incredible women and grateful for the compassion they continue to share.

This Nurses Week, we proudly celebrate The Power of Nurses—and shine a special spotlight on our incredible nurse leaders, including our Directors of Nursing and Regional Directors of Clinical Services, whose guidance, expertise, and unwavering dedication shape the care we deliver every single day.

From May 6th through May 12th, we honor the strength, compassion, and impact nurses have—not only at the bedside, but across our entire organization. Our nurse leaders embody what it means to lead with purpose, inspiring teams, supporting one another, and ensuring the highest standards of care for those we serve.

Through our CARES values—Character, Attitude, Respect, Excellence, and Service—they lead by example in every interaction and every decision. Their commitment to these principles strengthens our teams and brings our Mission Experience to life, helping our residents live their best lives each and every day.
