Does your child hold it together ALL day at school…only to completely fall apart when they get home?
They may have spent the entire day managing expectations, transitions, sensory input, social interactions, and big emotions. By the time they get home, their tank is EMPTY.
Instead of asking, “Why are they acting like this?” try asking, “What does their nervous system need right now?”
A snack, movement, quiet time, fewer demands, or simply time to decompress can make a big difference.
Sometimes home is simply the safest place to finally let it all out.
