Captiva Recreation Center has reopened after a wallpaper redo. The soft coral pink and sandy beach hues paired with seashells galore bring you close to the shoreline here at Captiva Recreation. Shelling enthusiasts will recognize the variety of shells native to Florida’s Captiva Island throughout the bright and airy gathering rooms where Villagers can be seen participating in fitness classes or favorite social club meetings. You’ll find a variety of the outdoor recreation including court and lawn games and a family pool.

But I Waffle from House-to-House.

Trying to get home…
Fond memories, can feel
Like Comfort Food.

I may Waffle from time-to-time.
But the trip home is clear.
I decide when a House is Home.

You may want to
CHUCK it all…
But you're not a
Castaway.

Life isn't as simple as a
Package to be
wrapped for next day delivery.

Waffles can be seen as
Turbulent waves that can fluctuate plans.
A little sweetness can smooth those dips.

Lake Miona Regional Recreation Center.
A décor with the feel of a yacht club. Neighbors and friends gather around the floor to ceiling stone fireplace, or meet in nautical themed rooms adorned with accents of sailing regattas. The large theater and stage for performances for friends and family. Outside, sports, a pool and activities to stay active and fit. Take a stroll down the Black Lake Walking Path where you can meander along the flexi-paved pathway through a canopy of trees.

Tierra Del Sol... The ghost of another closed Country Club in The Villages. The Rec Center is temporarily closed during an interior refresh until August 9th (the pool is still open). The former Country Club building, restaurant, theater and beloved outside patio and music area, is permanently closed.

There is a sign outside that they started looking for repurpose ideas after the closure.

There is no notation on the web page of the Rec Center of it being closed.

Chula Vista Recreation Center, one of the most cozy wooded outdoor Rec Areas.

Take a step back in time to an old western scene Rec Center as you pursue favorite hobbies and interests in gathering rooms. Strike up a game of billiards or shoot some darts in the Buffalo Bill Room where you’ll also find one of the community’s unique snooker tables. Residents enjoy meeting with their favorite fitness class or social club in the Annie Oakley Room or tapping into their creative sides in the Hiawatha Craft Room where natural light from the large skylights pours in.
