When you have a nagging injury that won’t heal, you deserve to know all your options. Here is how the big three actually stack up:

Knee pain killing your bounce? 🛑 Stop resting it and start loading it!

If jumping, sprinting, or playing your sport leaves you with aching knees, rest isn’t the answer. Your tendons are craving capacity. The best tool for the job? Heavy Isometrics!

Here is why heavy isos are a game-changer for jumper’s knee!

Built-in Painkiller: Heavy static holds have an analgesic effect, naturally telling your nervous system to dial down the tendon pain.

More Load, Less Pain: When you hold an isometric contraction you aren’t yanking on the tendon as you do with fast explosive contraction. This allows you to pass more load through the tendon without pain.

Tendon Remodeling: It safely loads the tendons, signaling it to adapt, stiffen up, and handle the explosive forces of jumping.

When you jump, sprint, decelerate, or change direction, we absorb forces that exceed 5x our bodyweight. That means these ISOs need to be heavy. We need to create a high force stimulus to have a chance at handling the high forces seen in sport.

Begin with long duration holds, and then over time, decrease the duration but increase the weight.

You aren’t “out of place.” You’re just “stuck.”

It’s one of the most common things we hear: “My hip is out” or “My back is out of alignment.” But unless you’ve had a major traumatic dislocation, your bones aren’t going anywhere.

The Truth: You aren’t a puzzle that needs to be put back together. You’re a high-performance machine that occasionally gets a “Positional Fault.”

Think of your joint like a hinge on a door. If the door won’t open, it’s usually not because the hinge fell off—it’s because the hinge is rusty or stuck. It has lost its ability to glide and rotate.

Enter Grade V Manipulations (The “Pop”): When we perform a manipulation at Unite, we aren’t “shoving” a bone back into a slot. We are:

✅ Restoring Glide: Giving the joint the “WD-40” it needs to swing freely.

A bigger squat is great. But if that strength never converts to speed, you’ll never see it at the rim. 🏀

Most athletes hit a vertical plateau because they’re missing one thing: Rate of Force Development. You have the strength, but your nervous system doesn’t know how to use it fast.

The French Contrast Method fixes this by priming your CNS with a heavy load, then immediately demanding max-speed explosive movements.

The 4-Step Formula:
1️⃣ Heavy Squat (Strength Primer)
2️⃣ Loaded Jump (Power)
3️⃣ Bodyweight Plyo (Elasticity)
4️⃣ Assisted Jump (Overspeed)

The Catch: You cannot treat this like a CrossFit circuit. If you cut your rest short, you aren’t training power—you’re just getting tired. You don’t jump higher on tired legs.
