If your answer to a bad run is “I just need more miles,” read that carousel again. 🛑

Most runners aren’t underperforming because they lack aerobic fitness. They’re underperforming because they are treating a strategy problem like a motivation problem.

Overstriding, vertical bounce, and hip drop aren’t signs that you need more cardio. They are movement quality issues. And running more miles on top of bad mechanics is just a fast track to injury.

Loose, exhausted joints can’t absorb road impact. Strong muscles can.

In our latest blog, Dr. Victoria, DPT breaks down the exact strength framework we use with distance runners to improve running economy, fix structural weak points, and build lasting durability.

The “just rest” trap is real. 🛑 Resting treats the symptom, but it doesn’t fix the problem.

If your knee is flaring up when you run, here is what you should do instead:

🏃‍♂️ 1. Shorten your runs: Keep moving, but drop the volume so you don’t overload the joint.
🏋️‍♂️ 2. Strength train: Build up the muscles around the knee to absorb the impact.
👟 3. Get your form checked: Fix the mechanics that caused the stress in the first place.

At UNITE, we don’t just help you break free from the pain holding you back—we fix the root cause so you can get back to performing at your best.

🚀 How we added 5 inches to his vertical in just 40 days. If you want to jump higher, you can’t just mindlessly spam max-effort jumps every day. You have to train the body to produce force faster and absorb it better.
Here is the exact 5-key framework we used to get these results:

⚡ 1. Lift Moderate Weight FAST We didn’t just chase heavy 1RMs. Moving moderate weights at maximum velocity improves your Rate of Force Development (RFD)—the secret sauce to explosiveness.

💥 2. Loaded Jumps By adding resistance to the jump itself, we forced his muscles to recruit more fast-twitch fibers, rapidly increasing his explosive strength.

👟 3. Bodyweight Jumps Jumping is a skill. We kept bodyweight jumps in the rotation to refine his mechanics, timing, and efficiency.

🔥 4. Accelerated Jumps Using band assistance to pull him up faster than normal trained his central nervous system to fire and produce force at hyper-speed.

🛡️ 5. Eccentric Training You can’t produce force if you can’t absorb it. Slow, controlled eccentric work built the tendon strength and force-absorption ability needed to safely explode off the ground.

Chugging plain water before a match isn’t enough—and it might actually be tanking your performance. 🛑

Slamming straight water dilutes your system, ignoring the real culprits behind third-set cramps: electrolyte depletion and muscle fatigue.

As the match drags on, you lose critical sodium through sweat while your muscles empty their fuel tanks (glycogen). When that happens, your nervous system misfires, and your tissue locks up.

To stay durable, engineer your hydration strategy. For every hour on the court, target:
💧 16–24 oz of water
🧂 500–1000mg of sodium (electrolytes) 🍌 30–60g of fast-digesting carbs

Stop guessing with your hydration and hoping for the best. Drop a 🎾 if you’re hitting the courts this weekend, and save this post for your next match day!

Stop treating your body like a cold oven. 🎾🛑
You wouldn’t throw a lasagna into a cold oven and expect a perfect dinner. Yet, so many players walk straight from their car to the court and immediately start hitting heavy serves and explosive sprints.

A proper warm-up isn’t just passive stretching, it’s preheating your neuromuscular engine. By upgrading to a dynamic, tennis-specific routine, you aren’t just preventing pulled hamstrings or rotator cuff strains; you are actively optimizing your game.

Firing up those exact kinetic pathways unlocks:
⚡️ Deeper rotational power
⚡️ Faster first-step reaction time
⚡️ Sharper movement from the very first point

Win or lose, a solid match begins with a solid warm-up. Prepare how you want to perform. Stop skipping the prep work. Watch our tennis-specific warm-up designed to prime your power and protect your joints! 🏆🔗

Stop stretching your lower back pain. It’s making the cycle worse. 🛑

If you are stuck in the loop of “stretch it out, feel good for an hour, wake up tight again”—read that carousel one more time.

Your back isn’t tight because it needs to be loosened. It’s tight because it’s weak and screaming for structural support.

Loose muscles can’t absorb load. Strength can.

In our latest blog, Dr. Victoria, DPT breaks down the exact 10 exercises we use with athletes to build bulletproof spinal stability (including why you shouldn’t be afraid to deadlift).
